"Shhh, girl. I got Stormwake." Soothing cluck for the mare, a reassuring touch, before she approaches the stallion.

(Stable) Star hmph..why should she worry that the stallion is an IDIOT. Or that mechanical thing started to charge past the stable to get to the front? Not her problem.... no.

(Stable) but she is mollified. Stormwake approaches, looking as proud as an 8 year old boy who beat off a bully despite having a fat lip and black eye

"Smart enough to ken the fire, but no intelligence beyond that?" A frown. "Almost like...a bloodhound?"

Oak snorts. Either disagreeing or not liking the comparison

Frank (and Jack, as he can) take the Chimera apart.

"Maybe," The Squire says "I mention it as a possiblity. I mean, what else would draw it? not like the chimera knew the lodge was here?"

"No..." Kerri thinks. "Probably not. But...are there any Dreamers locally who know more than they should about the Lodge?"

Jack carries his own fair load of the Chimera remainder, and the both of them head back to the Lodge.

"Here you go, boy..." She offers Storm the cookie.

Brogan says "Not that I know of, but I don't get around as much as some"

(Stable) While Frank and Jack work on dismantling the Chimera, Jack says "Am I doing it right, He-Chief?"// Stormwake takes the cookie from Dagmar, crunching! And yes, he looks much better, some lost coat is restored too!

Frank looks around. "Dame."

(Stable) And the stallion bumps Dagmar happily. He feels much better

"Hm. If it looks like a teacher...." A pause, then "Maybe Vali would know."

"I can get him" The Squire volunteers, seeing a way to be useful AND get out of this order

(Stable) To Jack as they work. "You're doing very well."

She pets and fusses and soothes Stormwake.

A stern look. "Am I going to have to use stronger methods to keep you in place, Squire?"

"No, Dame" He has the decency to look sheepish and a bit apologetic.

"Good."

(My bad - to Dagmar)

(Stable) Star gives a nod as Stormwake is now more worthy of her company. Stormwake is..well, he's just a bit happy warhorse yes he is. But he likes the soothing//Jack beams "Thanks. Fa..rank"

(Stable) "Mountain." A nod back.

"Welcome. Let's go in."

And with their prizes, they go to the Lodge.

Oak looks back at the HEarth, then at the Squire.. .and then with an idea, moves to put his muzzle down on the prone boy. Pinning him with his head in a gentle way that it would be a sin to move.

The Darieann eyes the dog "My house is known for vengance, you know that right, stupid dog?" And he strokes the dog

BIG Puppy eyes.

"Stupid fae hound" The Squire mutters and strokes

A grin at Oak. "Well done. Now, Squire Brogan, Oak clearly needs comforting...you will oblige."

Dag does one last check on the horses before heading back to the Lodge.

"Yes, my liege" He says resolved. And strokes.

Jack follows FRANK, and DAGMAR can see the horses will be fine

"Good. That is your job. I will be in the kitchen," and Kerri gets up and departs to see to finishing up the hearth work in there.

Jack comes into the hold "I guess I did okay at healing. Oh, look, Brogan's okay. He has a dog face on him"

Dagmar did put everything away, at least. AND set the roast on low!

Frank enters with Jack and others.

"You all have this in hand....excuse me."

Sally Mae comes in throug hthe kitchen... and is surprised to get caught up, but nods, as Kerri now can go seek out VALI and do some investigating Hearth style

Brogan looks at Dagmar "My liege has set the dog as my warden." He strokes Oak

Oak soaks it up.

Jack nods to Frank "yes sir."

Frank departs, on a mission.

"Ah... well, guess you're stuck then."

"Stupid dog" Brogan sighs and strokes.

Jack whispers to Dagmar "I think he actually likes the dog"

as if this is a great discovery uncovered only by dint of great effort

"Oh, y'know.. he might."

"I know you're talking about me" Brogan says between stroking the dog and looking in his big eyes.
