"Ooo" The satyr says

“Ooo.” The pooka echoes.

“Dagmar, have you ever played a “Fisk”?

"Okay then." She heads to the kitchen - water, yes, and one fat slice each of home-made bread spread with soft butter and strawberry jam.

"A Fisk?"

“I think it’s like a fiddle... no, a lute. Tove mentioned it.”

"OH!"

Oh crap. Mom's got Lutefisk cravings.

"Oh, she loves lutefisk. It's.. like.. salty fish jello."

Jack makes a face "Fish..jello?"

“Can you deep fry it? With pickles?”

Jack's face gets worse "Blah"

“Hey Jack! Why did... why did the fish blush?”

"I don't know, why did hte Fish blush?" Ah, he's a good straight man today

Chomping on his bread and jam. “A’ cuz he saw the river’s bottom!”

Chortling through a mouthful of bread.

A groan.

Jack laughs. "oh this guy..." Tears ready to come out he laughs so hard

Clearly, Jack is an easy audiance.

But as he recovers, he claims his bread and jam "Thanks, Dagmar." ANd with water "Race you to the room, Connor" Satyr ZOOOOMM

He watches Jack go, then gives Dagmar a solemn look. “Are little kids ALL like that?”

The soul of innocence and sobriety. For the moment.

A poetic shrug.

He gives a mighty sigh, and straightens up, putting on his best Frank solemnity. “I’d better go tuck him in or he’ll be up ALL night.” Probably would sound weightier if he wasn’t having a face streaked with jam.

"...wait!" She spits on her thumb and wipes off a streak. "Okay. Go."

He grins and wags his tail. “Oh! And when you get home, there’s FUH-jee-Tas! I helped taste ‘em. The green sauce is sneaky though. Be careful!” And he thumps up the stairs as well.

"Nice! G'night, Connor."

And the lodge is temporarily at peace...

or maybe he thought there was excess jam there

but yes, Dagmar can go home to Fajitas. Though Tove IS googling 'Lutefisk deepfry?'

but that's another challenge for another day
