Stormwake bellows in fury

Bursting out of his stall, he fights the foe... hooves flailing.

Snarls as Oak tears at the flank of the same enemy.

And also a two legger, whirling weapon against the monster!

The chimera was like nothing the boy had seen and he was most confused. He is wounded, and he is not alone. Oak limps, and even Stormwake has wounds. He couldn't run from it, he'd disgrace his house.

But if not for the animals, he would have died. He might still.. the wounds are...

"Brogan? Is it dead?" A scared voice

The squire turns to see the other childling, he's lost so much blood he almost forgets who Jack is, then.. "yes." And he falls on his face. Blood going out.

Jack gasps... and grabs the sidhe boy who threatens to wink out light a sputtering candle "Oak, help!"

and into the lodge they go, the trail of blood leaving marks of heroism

but there is balefire... and under it's light, bleeding might stop.

After school, the first thing Dagmar does is go to check the horses.

And she finds a dead chimera.... bloody clown teeth on a teacher's face

and a jack in the box body!

It's destroyed, dead.

Blink... blink...

"Star? Stormy?"

And Stormwake is a bit scuffed.

He trots forward..looks like there's a bandage on one leg.

Star is pacing and throwing her head, and she gives a strident whinny when Dagmar appears!

"What happened?" She checks for other injuries, fussing.

The body of the jack in the box is well trampeled at this time, largely kicked to pieces.

"You two obviously fought well, but..."

Stormwake has been healed up some, bruises... light grazing at worse. He snorts at the broken chimera with outrage.

She paws intentionally at a spot.

And there's blood.. blood going inside the lodge

Yep, Star is tapping around that with her hoof. Waiting for her Human to see...

Frown.

"You're okay?" She runs a hand over Star's flank, down her legs - making SURE the horses are both fine and tended.

Star seems to have missed most of the fight. Though her hooves MIGHT have danced on the chimera after

To hear her nickeringn, she was obviously the hero.

But she nudges at Dagmar, a snort as a large eye rolls towards the blood stains.

Stormwake looks towards the lodge door

"I'm going, I'm going..."

She goes, she goes.

a swish of her tail, and once the human has gone, gone, she returns to grooming Stormwake. Stupid oaf, getting injured like that.

Stormwake looks very pleased. Cuz he was a war horse badass

Dagmar enters in... and sees near the balefire, a small figure, who looks wrapped up tight in parts... a bit like a mummy, lots of bandages... many of the tinged pink with blood.

"The hell?"

She tromps over and crouches by the small one.

Brogan's eye opens "I'm okay.. did he give the horse the spring cookie?"

"The horses were okay. What happened?"

Jack comes in from the kitchen with juice "Okay, Oak has half a cookie and... oh," He looks at Dagmar with RELIEF "Brogan foought a jack in the box monster or something and Oak helped em and they got hurt real bad... and then Stormwake joined in and...." A blush "I didn't do nothing"

"I'm sure you didn't, Jack. Sometimes dangerous chimera appear, that's certainly not your fault. Did you bandage Stormwake?"

"Yeah" he says "I also gave him a bit of a cookie. Brogan made me give the healing cookie to the animals. Even though he was hurt the most of all"

"Jack saved my life... would have bleed out without him" Brogan says tired.

"You're very lucky..." A frown.

"Where is everyone?"

"Gone." Jack says "Real busy with stuff I guess. Brogan was handlign the kitchen"
