"His bandages look good, The fire will keep him from getting worse until one of the grown-ups can look at it..."

Jack says "I hid."

"Do you know how to fight?"

The satyr looks ashamed "Not really well or I wouldn't have gotten my 'youaskedforit'" He touches his now healed ear.

"Well then, if you don't fight, you would have been in danger and maybe gotten hurt instead of being able to help get Brogan in and patched up."

"That was smart."

"She's right" Brogan says "My House doesn't like satyrs, but you.. you're a good one" The tired little squire says.

"Uhm, thanks?" Jack says, sensing something off about that, "And you're not bad in a fight. You and Oak..and then Stormwake.. BAM he came out of nowhere... "

"Hmph. Houses with kith prejudices..." Grumble.

"And yeah - Jack, you did good. You helped how you could."

"And Brogan, thank you for defending the horses. That means a lot to me."

"Of course, they're part of the lodge. They are noble beasts who are companions in battle. " The Daireann says "honor demands we care for them properly, which you do."

Jack is relaxing. Clearly Dagmar being here settles his nerves.

Brogan then winces "Oh great. I'm supposed to serve drinks and food for folks. and...." he tries to move. Then gives a gasp of pain.

Jack flares "Are you retarded? You're hurt. stay still" Panic renewed "You'll hurt the bandages and your body"

"Yeah, that."

"You stay. let us take care of you." A pause. "It would be rude not to accept, right? So you're obliged."

"Bit transparent " Brogan mutters weakly "Fine. Make sure the Roast is set on low, I don't want it overcooked"

Then he adds "Please."

"Gwydion troll. So, y'know." She owns it with a shrug. "Can do. What's your favorite pop?"

The sidhe boy looks a bit young and says "Kind of like rootbeer"

"Ok. Low roast and rootbeer." She marches off.

Jack follows her, "he's gonna be okay right? I mean, balefire will heal him eventually, even if the Chief isn't here yet? Or the Hearth?"

"He should be safe until Chief or Kerri get home, yeah."

"I don't do healing magic. You need a root beer, too?"

"No, save it for him. it's his favorite"

"We have enough."

"And you saved him, so you deserve a treat, too."

"Well, could I have a grape soda? " hopeful

"Yup!"

Grape soda, Rootbeer, Dr. Pepper... and yes, the oven is set on low.

"Thanks." he says "I like all sorts of soda, but Vali may have me hooked on the grape" When he gets his can he pops it open and drinks "Star was so mad at Stormwake, it's like she thought he hogged the bad guy and then got hurt just to make her upset."

"She would. Those two are like Siv and Jonas."

Heading back to the great hall with Brogan's soda.

Jack looks confused "Siv and Jonas like sweet oats?" But he follows

Brogan is still awake.

"Oh, they like to squabble. It means they're happy."

'Oooo " Jack says perhaps getting it.

"Are you talking about Siv and Jonas?" Brogan guesses

"Yeah. Star and Stormwake are the same way."

"Siv is...odd" Brogan takes his rootbeer when its' offered, "Thank you. I think when I'm a wilder Iwon't let romance distract me. Yes. Nonsense anyway"

"I agree, but it's hardr to avoid than you think."

"Mmmph" The childling sidhe grunts ("Yeah, but I'm gonna try")

Jack says "Well, He-Chief says that everyone gets twitterpatted sometime"

"Mmm=hmm."

Jack looks at them both "And folks are doing that grunt talking"

"Mmph?" Eyebrow lift.
