He is suitably rebuked and shushes. Happily it seems. There is a dynamic here in RIvervale between Lodge fellows that might cause Dagmar to wonder.

"This Lodge is gifted with talented people."

Jaymes grunts, "Speaking of talent, Dagmar caught a fish on her first day."

She returns Frank's glance.

A small smile that Frank puts in his coffee at Jaymes' bragging.

"Well done. How big?" she asks Dagmar.

"Um... about so?" She holds her hands apart. "Lost one, too."

"That is a respectable catch," she nods at the gesture. "And a good ratio of catch-to-loss. The fish near here are clever."

Jaymes considers Brekke's words, "I wondered about that. Touch of glamour in the wild here. "

the lodge phone rings "I'll get it," Vali says

"It has taken careful tending." Frank agrees with Jaymes.

Frank looks around to the phone closet, taking half a step there before Vali beats him to it. He waits, watching.

"I like to think so," Brekke nods. "I have not forced anything upon the land here, but I do think it recognizes that it is cared for and respected."

A brief glance to Vali as he goes to get the phone.

"It's pretty here. Way prettier than Englewood."

"What is Englewood like?"

A moment later, "Siv! It's for you"

A blink, and a look to Frank, brows furrowed slightly.

Siv hops down, snatches a roll, "For me? Who?"

"I think her nae is Kelly?" He steps out the way "Though the..."

Frank frowns; not -quite- a glower.

He turns away, going back to his coffee.

"KELLY! Ha" And Siv zips into the phone closet

"Ghetto. Crowded and loud. You gotta be tough there, you know?"

Vali blinks as he was almost run over "It was a drive by wilder."

She does wave at the fly-by Siv.

Distracted by Siv's excitement, Brekke says, "Mmm," in response to Dagmar's description.

A look to Frank. "Do we know a Kelly?"

"I'm from there, originally."

"Mm," Brekke is drawn back to Dagmar's comment. "Not far from here, but I have not spent time there."

"We do."

Jaymes is more focused on Dagmar "So where's the favorite place you've been so far? Even if only passing through?"

"Here." Without hesitation.

A look to Frank at his response.

And then a bit of a grin at Dagmar's response. "I am glad to hear it."

Jaymes nods seeing to agree with the simple wordless gesture

Vali looks wistful

"Even school's not so bad. I've got classes with Symon and Sylvi, both."

"Hm. That must be good. Having friends at school who understand, I mean."

Jaymes nods, "Symon's a decent kid. Weird, but decent"

She nods. "Yeah."

A glance to Vali. "Are you all right?"

whispering on the phone, but sometimes a laugh or blurt slips

Vali smiles, "Just thinking of the places I've been. I think for me, the places are nice, but it' the people who brought out the magic in them."

A glance back to the phone closet after a laugh leaks out.

"For me..." she says, returning her attention to the conversation "...I think I have always felt that it is the place that brings the right people."

Jaymes looks over at Dagmar "if his folks are okay with it, and if we can go boat fishing , you want to invite him along?"

Vali nods, "Well, there maybe something to that. Rivervale has it, I can see that"

A nod to Vali, and she finishes off her roll as well as her coffee.

Frank frowns at the closet.
