After being gone for hours, Jaymes makes his way back inside. He's in a damn good mood, and putting up his fishing gear

Frank comes in through the kitchen, cleaning his hands on a truck-rag. The weight of years and responsibilities seems heavy today, wrinkling his forehead.

A slight smile, very slight, but for him that's a grin "Hey, Frank."

"Mmphm. Hello Jaymes." Hands sufficiently cleaned, he draws a cup of coffee.

"Everything all right?" Raised brow

He nods. "Just going over the engine, making sure it's ready for the trip. You?" He sips his coffee.

"Actually, doing a lot better than i thought. She showed up late, almost didn't show herself at all, but Dagmar went fishing with me. Her friend, Symon, showed up a bit later. They seemed to have a good time."

Frank looks up. "She did?" A small grin splits his features. "Jaymes, that's great." Sincerely.

"It is, was at least. She actually caught one.Almost insisted we cook them over an open fire, so I obliged. She's shy about killing them, got a softer side to her. But she enjoyed the nature and the challenge. And Symon's gross jokes seemed to amuse her despite her obligotry 'ooo gross' commentary." He gets himself a drink, "For all the jaded side to that girl, it's fun when drops the shields a bit and lets her wonder show."

The grin grows. "Wow. Jaymes, great work." He crosses over and claps the other man on the back.

"well, thanks, but the fact she enjoyed one fishing trip doesn't mean she wants me to adopt her, but, I appreciated the trust she gave, you know?"

There's a knock on the door.

Frank glances over, then pads over on stocking feet to open it.

there's a winged teenage boy there, frank may recognize him from Beltaine

A blink. "Hello.....?"

"Would you like to come in?" On the basis that any teenaged boy with wings a) needs a place to come inside and b) is probably not human.

feathered hair and sharp features and wings , and a look up up up, the pooka looks up, 'Oh you're not intimidating at all... no sir ree. Hi. Like all dancers and machine guns, I go by the name of Kelly. I apprecate the offer into troy, but is Helen willing to just walk out? Homer knew her as Siv?"

Frank frowns. "She's not available at the moment."

"That's a shame, she's in dem.." He catches himself, "Pardon, pooka death wish kicked in. Could you please tell her that Kelly, who she met on Samhain, came by? "

Jaymes raises a brow

"She hasn't been here for a .... Right." Growled, but he catches himself. "Kelly, do you want to wait for her?" He moves his bulk out of the way so Kelly can see inside. And Jaymes.

he seems surprised at the offer, "that's mighty blue of you, thank you, but I just wanted to drop by and tell her she's a michael bay explosion in girl form and I had a really great Pennons but lost her secret code' he taps his cellphone with embarrassment

He folds his arms over his chest, regarding the pooka. Then he nods and goes to his roll-top desk near the window and writes with great care on a page which he brings back to the pooka. "Here. Lodge number. Call any time."

Kelly takes it and wraps it neatly, "I would squee with delight, but you know, manly man to manly man, it's the wrong time of year for that. Can't enough you thank."'

Frank nods.

"And nicee to meet you Mr. left," he says to Jaymes, "Mr. Right was telling me all about you. I'm off." And a flutter and off he goes

Frank watches, making sure the kid's gone, then shuts the door with a sigh.

"He seems nice," Jaymes observes, "And that was nice of you to give the number"

Frank goes back to his coffee with a shrug. "Closet's over there." There is a troll-small door in one wall; a squeeze, for anyone. "Figure he's -going- to call, might as well be where I can hear it."

"You do know Siv will just give him her track phone number?"

Frank lifts an eyebrow. "You do know I don't like she's even -got- a tracfone, right?"

He shrugs again. "So she gives it to him. At least I tried to show, you know, being reasonable." As if being reasonable is utterly UNreasonable for anyone to expect a father to be.

"Fair points," He concedes, "She's sixteen, certainly old enough to be dating boys, and it's good you recognize that. Shows you trust her." A nod

Frank's expression makes it clear that very little of that is true, and then he dips it into his coffee mug.

"Frank, sixteen? You and I were sixteen once"

"I know."

"And we noticed girls and they noticed us:

"Siv is one girl to some boys out there. I'm just saying theo ne who should be in a panic is Olgar. Sylvi's nearly 3 years younger and has a boyfriend? wow." A drink "they start early don't th-" A thought occurs and he frowns and shuts up.

Frank is scowling, but at least it's at his coffee and not Jaymes.

"Sylvi knows how this world works."

"She does seem on the ball" he says

A flicker of second-hand pride on his face. "She is."

"Great, now I'm worried about Dagmar" He shakes his head, "we weren't even discussing Dagmar"

"We were. Full circle." He gestures 'round with his mug. "Why, she dating too?"

"No, if anything she seems to really dislike the concept of it. I don't know but she may have had a bad experience. Or maybe she just thinks it's weaksauce or whatever the slang is. I just.. didn't think about how boys might factor in regardless until now."

"Ohhhh... they factor in all right." Darkly.

"Yeah great, is this normal? this sudden distrust of my own gender but younger?" A scowl
