"Like... like it's not just words, it would make it real?"

"You like Thor, right?"

She nods. "Totally!"

"Have you seen the movies? They don't have them in the Dreaming, I've been catching Siv up..."

"Siv talks abit about it. Okay, in this movie, Odin says "If he be worthy the wielder of this hammer shall have the power of thor" I get that right?"

She nods. "Like... Thor can't lift Mjolnir when he is disgraced. Oh, you should see it - he fights through a whole base of Shield agents..."

"I thought SHIELD were good guys?"

"They are! Well, except when they aren't"

"But, like, see, Odin cast Thor out for being arrogant, and causing a war when there was a treaty, and he threw the Hammer to Earth..."

"So, like, it was a UFO, yeah? So the government put up a thing to study it, and they thought Thor was just a rando trying to steal their artifact... they didn't know it was HIS hammer.."

"Except was it really his hammer if he wasn't worthy?"

"that's a good question. Maybe he wasn't the Hammer's Thor at that time?"

"oh where was I going? Just like Odin had power with words over the hammer. The Dreaming puts power in a lot of words too. So the Oath of Adoption? Totally real, not just words, but words that make it so."

She chews on that poor ragged thumbnail, nodding.

"Because it's magic."

The dogs' ears perk up, and they both go trotting to the door, tails wagging.

He turns

She sits up straight, going quiet and wary.

The door opens, and the Chieftain comes in, chuckling slightly as she bends to rumple the dogs' ears. "Hello, fierce guardians. All well?" She straightens and closes the door, spotting the others and nodding. "Well, hello."

.... and almost simultaneous, Frank reappears from the kitchen.

He carries a big pitcher of iced tea.

With Vali behind Frank

Carrying a tray.

She makes her way to the coffee urn...but pauses to grin as Frank appears.

"Well, this is a good greeting." She nods to the tray.

Jaymes says "Hello, Chief. Dagmar dropped by to visit."

"So I see," she replies to Jaymes.

"...Hi"

She turns to get herself a cup of coffee. "How are you, Dagmar?"

Frank nods to Brekke. "Welcome home." He sets the pitcher down and heads to.... oh, she's there. He looks at the others. "So, well... dig in."

"I'm good!" She coughs, and collects. "I'm good. Could I ask you something?"

A bemused look as she gets her own coffee before Frank can. "I do remember how to do this, Frank." And she takes her mug to her chair where she settles a bit stiffly.

Amber eyes quietly slide over to the tray, scoping the contents.

"Mm? Of course," she says to Dagmar, "but would you pass me one of those rolls as you get one for yourself?"

Frank chuckles. "I know, Chieftess. I just like doing it." He finds his own coffee.

Jaymes has gone quiet. Seeming happy to be amid the chatter

"Kay." She grabs a few rolls - surreptitiously hiding one in her pocket if she thinks she can get away with it. One for Brekke, one for... "Jaymes, you want anything?"

"Thank you," she accepts her roll with a serious nod, and sips her coffee before taking a bite.

"mmm that one at the corner then, please" Jaymes says

She nods, and offers the roll out when she plops back into her seat. "Brekke, can I bring someone here? Not a mortal."

"Thanks" Jaymes says

Brekke raises a brow. "Kithain or Kinain?"

A glance and brief grin to Frank as he is, apparently, left to get his own roll.

Same for Vali, she notes quietly.

Vali doesn't mind, and is enjoying one

She tears off a corner of her roll. "I don't think either, actually? He's a rock."

"A Glome, sorry."
