"Excellent! Thank you." she says with a smile, and then goes outside to call Mitra.

Mitra picks up "Sorry I baled on you, figured you wanted Sancha safe and away first"

"You did exactly what I was hoping you'd do. Where are you?"

"Outside the shelter.. she's getting help from a nice pooka I know who has her talking about her problems"

"Good. Can we meet up? I'll tell you what happened after you left."

"Sure, want me to go to Fenix proper, or want to meet elsewhere?"

"How about the Pitt? Or would you get busy once you walk in?"

"I have the ability to delegate, no worries. Meet you there"

And so Jess is off to the Pitt!

The Pitt seems to be quite social, as described , nunnehi are talking to kithain and vice versa. Abuela dances in the air above greeting others.

Jess lifts her hand in greeting to Abuela.

"Greetings, Jessica, oh how are you?"

"I'm well, Abuela! Thank you for asking. How are you and Sayda?"

"Sayda is well , she has tennis lessons for children. I hope she thrives"

"That sounds fantastic, I'm glad to hear it. Do you know where Regent Mitra is?"

"Just coming in behind you actually" She points

Mitra comes in

"Sorry, Jessica. I had to give contact information to someone at the shelter"

"Oh, thank you..." she turns "Hi, no, that's fine. I mean... hey, glad you did it."

"Not sure she'll stay or not, some times the fear is greater than self respect" A troubled look "But she's with good people. I'm going to assign a thane to guard the shelter for a shift in case he shows up"

"She needs to stay there tonight and tomorrow night... and I don't think he will." Jessica fills her in on what happened.

"Redcaps and Sluagh? Mmm double punch. I like that. Yes, his description will be told to the thanes and warriors"

"Good. And if he -does- hang a flag out, can I rely on you to find someone to give him some exercise?"

"You want him kept alive it sounds like but if he gets in gun range of his wife I'm going to authorize physical action"

"Good. I took his gun, but I'm sure he could get, or has, another."

"I'll warn the thane shift. Pardon me" She says and slips away to get someone on the job

"Thanks." she waits, but takes in the room.

She's offered drinks and snacks or even a meal if she wishes

A drink would be welcome.

A non alcholic drink is offered to her... and she gets a look at the crowd

That will hit the spot!

As always, there is something primal (not the art) about the place. The fighters in the pit proper test their might in a way that seems to stir members of the audience differently.

Mitra returns "Done" She nods "Taking a look about?"

"I feel like I've neglected making the rounds of the Freeholds somewhat."

"You've been busy with diplomacy"

She can see the fruits of that, the Nunnehi no longer just stick to themselves

"It has been time well-spent." she agrees.

"It has"

"And this place looks great. Good work."

"Oh I confess, a lot of it is a good attitude by those who call it their hold" She says "But thank you. Sayda will get a good set up when it's her turn"

"In a few years."

"Hopefully not too soon." A smile

"A decade or so." Jess gives her a small smile.

"But they'll be prepared and provided for" A nod "Now, " She says "Shall I show you around? Not much has changed in the lay out"

"Sure!"

"Now I have improved the library. Salma apparently gave us a C - ...and this distressed Sayda" She guides her along to see . The library has expanded both in childlilng books, but also more tactical manuals and history of war. And, she notices, a lot of books of pre European history

She nods. "Good. Do the Nunnehi ever visit it?"

"Indeed, that's why I Put some of these books in regarding what is known by mortal scholars. Fawn has taken to asking that we record their stories , not that oral history is always reliable" Naming the Centaur who speaks some tongues

"That's amazing, Mitra, excellent. Thank you. Is Constance aware of all this?"

"Acutally, I'm not sure she is" She says "Is it important?"
