The patrol goes along smoothly as they move, and while they end up on one street, she poiints to another

Jess claps her on the shoulder at that comment, and they patrol; she glances at the indicated street.

And sees a patrol going at a different angle, but it's what the patrol is that makes it something worth seeing. Three women in armor, on patrol. One is one of Otem's people, almost reflecting the light above in her obsidian skin. The other is a redcap, rough piercings but a wide grin as they talk. The third woman is a 'snake face' , she seems to be walking side by side with the male troll who is outnumbered by the fairer sex. But it is clear the troll does not mind the company, nodding as they all share a common duty.

Friendship born of common purpose.

"That's your doing" Mitra tells her friend

It makes Jessica smile. "Thank you... but it's as much them as I."

"Oh it's a shared win, but it's a win" A smile

"It is." she agrees.

The other patrol moves on in it's direction and the Regent and her countess move in another

They're moving along when they hear a conversation from a building, in Spanish.

A man's voice speaks out "You cheating whore! "

"he never touched me" A woman's voice "And I never him.."

"I saw how you lead him on, you are MY wife! MINE" A slap sound

Mitra stops, "Not a fae matter" But she doesn't look convinced

"We don't know that. Let's look."

She moves closer, trying to get a visual.

It's not hard to find a window, it's somewhat curtained but not pefectly and she can find a gap.

A woman holds the side of her face, red and throbbing

And an angry man's open palm drawn back, "You're mind, you understand? "

"I can't help what other men do and nothing wrong happened" She cringes

"Maybe you're TOO pretty" He observes, and raises his hand again

No sign either is changeling

Jessica's face hardens and she taps .... -raps- on the window.

"Sorry, Mitra, I can't leave this." she murmurs.

"Oh hell, who can blame you?" Mitra mutters

"Who the hell is that?" The man snaps

"I.. I don't know! I'll go check" The woman offers

"No no... I'll see who this is. " And he storms not towards the window, but the door

Jessica nods Mitra to the door.

Mitra goes to the door to talk to the man or be talked to

through the window, the abandoned woman rubs at her purpling cheek

Jess goes to stand within sight of Mitra but out of sight of the door; backup.

"Pardon, Sir" She says in Spainish "I'm with the community outreach center , representing the battered womens shelter"

Jess nods; she likes this.

"You're here for charity? We got no money" The man starts to close the door only to see a foot in the way

Mitra shoots her friend a side glance as if to ask 'what now?'

A shrug; she mimes getting him outside which may or may not come across that way.

"move your foot, woman" He snorts

Mitra says 'well, I thought you might want to join your wife out here to discuss it" She jerks her thumb BEHIND her "She's been talking to a friend"

"What?" the man storms through the front door and yes outside

Jess nods, indicates Mitra should go inside and steps forward to the man. "Over here." en Espanol.

The man stops "you're not my wife," And he looks UP, even in mortal form she's a tall woman

Mitra sslips in

"Lucky for you." Jess says evenly.
