"Mm. It has magic, but not sure exactly what it does."

Piper reaches up and gently hooks a finger around Dagmar's small horns, measuring with forefinger and thumb. "Hmmm!"

"Yeah, you could do some thin bands up here. Like, a pop of gold or silver would be nice, or polished wood even..."

"Wouldn't get in the way in a fight like rings, or get caught in your hair like hoop earrings might."

She blinks, and her eyes happily crinkle at the corners. "Oh! I'd never thought about that. That wouldn't get in the way..."

Something that sounds like a conch shell blows over and over in the hallways, and the sounds of walking turn into the sounds of running

"Uh oh, that sounds important." Piper opens the door, and reaches out to snag the arm of the first person she sees running by! "Hey, what's going on?"

Dagmar shoves on her shoes and grabs Flyswatter from where it leans in the corner.

"Some of the trods have broken , tarnished, or gone black." one sidhe squire stops, he's younger than them, the colors green and gold , but he explains "Ever since then, we've had surges of thallian and ngihtmare chimera, they seem to come out ever other day like clockwork. I'm not sure what this is, but three blasts means it's coming by shore"

She pulls him into the room! "What's your name? This is Dagmar, she's a visitor but she's a Gwydion Knight and a warrior. Tell us where to go to help."

Dagmar activates her gauntlet, gold-and-green armor manifesting!

"I have a duty... to.." he stops as the armor forms around the troll "Oh that's cool!" Ahem he recovers "Squire Archlyn ap Gwydion, greetings House sister. If you wish to fight, I can get you to the shores, the trods aren't safe so we'll have to take the pop pipe"

"Pop pipe? Okay.... Piper, stay safe! I'll be back!"

"Wait, I can go too! I can't let you run off, Tove would kill me if you got hurt..."

Brow furrow. "Promise to run if I tell you?"

"Sorry ma'am" The Squire says "We don't normally encourage non combatants"

"I'll stay back, I promise."

"She's a bard. Music and magic are her weapons."

"You outrank me" the squire says "But, if the Baroness chews me out later, please remind her I was over ruled?" Hopeful

Thumbs up, "Let's go go go."

Piper grabs the wooden dagger that was set aside as a 2nd thought, tucking it into the belt of her sundress.

"Sure. It's what happened. Lead on, Squire."

They race into the halls , finding thanes and knights alike charging towards one particular hall, and at the end of the hall an array of what almost look like torpedo tubes that the knights crawl into.

And by each tube, non combtantants, throwing levers. Mostly nockers , dougals, and at least one sluagh with ear muffs for the noise

"...Waterslides?"

Piper sticks close to Dagmar like a burr. "When in Rome?"

"Pop Pipes" The Squire corrects "Get in, you go faster if you say something dramatic even if cliche. I'll show you" He leaps into one and calls out as it closes behind him "Today, is a good day to die!" the lever is thrown, and there is a POP...

A sucking of water and air... and the the tube opens again, ready for the next

Piper pushes Dagmar forward - or at least, presses on her back.

"Uh... once more, into the breach?"

And Dagmar is sealed in, and the lever thrown, and she's popped!

Piper follows after her, singsong- "Love is a battlefield!"

Neither lady sees the other, they now know what those old Pneumatic tubes felt like to the containers with messges inside of them

There's a definite lurch, a feeling of incredible speed, then suddenly they're in water, but only for a second for the shore is near.

And they breach out of the water and onto the shore!

Piper gazes out onto the shore, then quickly spins, looking around. That's the Atlantic, easy enough, but are there any visible inlets, bays, rivers?

Dagmar is startled, but rolls with it!

Piper shakes the water off! Brrrrr!

Heck, there's a whole city behind them... but in the sea? Something important... at least if you want to live. It .. likes kind of related to a dragon, but not very friendly

"Holy..." Piper backs up.

Dagmar looks grim, and plants her feet in a ready stance.

Piper catches sight of a glimmer of water inland a bit, and is... is she checking her messages? Posting on facebook? She's deep in her phone at the moment.

c'mon, c'mon... Checking for Wifi signal, pulling up Loogle maps, trying to zoom in to see the tiny display of the name of the bay...

The creature tilts it's head and then moves, with incredibly rapidity, so huge to it the shore must seem like a buffet table and in it's lunge, it swallows a troll thane with a chomp and then gulps "It is the end of all Dreams save the Fomorian one. I will feed on you all and my masters will take the land"

Snort. CHARGE.
