Piper is up rather early, for her, and tries not to disturb Dagmar as she peeks out the windows, sighs happily into the morning sunshine, and gets dressed for the day.

Dagmar only snores a little bit! And she hugs one of the pillows like a teddy bear.

She is temped to take a picture... oh, what the heck, she does, and sends it to Tove.

Tove sends a heart emoji back in thanks 💙

The room they've been given is spacious, the decorations and interior design celebrates the coastal, but perhaps in a nod to Dagmar's kith; there's a lovely painting of a Nordic long boat exploring

"Mmmm up." Soft protest.

Soft boops, phone noises, and the click-clack of hooves can't be disguised...

She just replies

She sits up, blinking sleepily.

"Morning!" Piper says spritely.

"Morning." Tiny wave, and then a streeeettttccchhhhhhhh. "Okay."

She checks the clock. "Do you think it's too early to call Cali?"

"It's... what, three hours?"

Nod!

"Maybe at breakfast? Then you can brush your hair first." A giggle. "I want you to meet my moms, after all.

She checks the clock. "Yeah, breakfast. Little more time. I've heard about your moms, they sound nice."

Piper sets the tube of high-humidity curl creme on her bedside table with a wink.

She pats her head - oh, there's frizz, with curls escaping her protective braids.

No one is pestering them to wake up, or do chores, not that the folks of the Lodge are bullies about that; here , they are guests.

But they do hear foot steps in the hallways and conversation. The regulars of the hold are already starting their day

"You want the shower first?"

"Nah, you go ahead."

Dagmar is already moving to sit on the floor and tuck her feet under the nightstand. "You sure? Wanna do my routine first." Hands folded behind her head and sit-ups!

"Sure then. I'm quick, less of me to wash, even if the water takes longer to reach me."

As promised, soon she is out and toweling off her legs and hair. "You know, it's funny, can't use a blow dryer on my legs, they get weird and POOFY."

Dagmar snerks. "Fluffy. Like a sheep." She's on push-ups now!

"Do you do this every morning?"

"No? Some days I lift, but I didn't bring my weights."

"...do you normally bring weights when you travel?"

She stands and does a few little side-to-side twists. "No. I've done pull-ups, sometimes, so that's like lifting, but you'd need, like, a tree limb or something. It's good to start with moving, though. Wakes you up."

Piper is watching Dagmar, then can't help a giggle.

"Just thinking, for pullups? I wouldn't need a tree limb, like.. if you just held out your arm."

That earns a quick flash of a smile. "Heh."

"That means I could use you for weights. Okay, I'll be quick in the shower."

Piper digs through her supplies and finds a cute sundress for the day, and considers the necklace again. Sure, she wears it. It was good luck last night!

The shower has an adjustable nozzle for tall folks, clearly someone has done good work on the pipes

Dagmar emerges, and retrieves an assortment of supplies. She doesn't bring weights, but she does have coconut oil and detangler spray and her Good Comb.

Today is two relatively quick dutch braids that she can put in without looking.

"Did you get a chance to look at that wooded knife you found?"

"Oh! I forgot about it!" She snags her pack to dig it out.

"I can't tell much about this necklace, but it looks nice, and has some magic, and I think it brought good luck last night. I guess it's really yours, or will belong to the owner's family if we find them, but I figure they won't mind me wearing it for now."

The wooden dagger doesn't look like it would make a good weapon, but it's excellent craftsmanship

"I don't mind. I don't wear a lot of jewelry. It's just be wasted or broken, anyway." She does have pierced ears, but is only wearing plain studs.

She looks over the knife, and kenns it.

Piper notices that, and considers. "Have you ever worn rings? Here, lean down a bit." Gesturing to Dagmar's head.

She raises an eyebrow, but leans as directed.

"My hands are too big. And I heard they can cause injuries, like, when working?" Funny, that that's the second reason.

It has magic, and is a treasure, so she can't exactly hide it.
