The energies of the balefire flow into Dagmar after a long rest, and she needed it. Slowly, it seems she has regained focus. Damned this bed feels comfortable. No one has bothered her.

Sure, there are things to do - she could go to the water park again (that was fun!) or find souvenirs....

She could. She's made a fine impression on the court here too and while she's not the court going type she could explore the freehold in more detail if she wanted to as well

She's slept. It was nice. But she is not going to waste her day in the room. The freehold looked pretty, she can explore!

She dresses, and realizes that she has a choice of long sleeves or non long sleeves; she had that choice before, but now things have changed. What was a mark of shame has been replaced by marks she is anything but shamed of. Of all the treasures she's found on this mission, that might be the kindnest. The choice is hers.

She considers - she'd worn the short sleeves at home, and a few times around Lupe and May, or at the Lodge. It was in new places, around strangers that the long sleeves persisted the most.

But... well, it's a warm day.

Indeed. And some of the voile offered is pretty good stuff, not just the formal garb. But some of the semi casual tops rock as well

One of the offered tops is sleeveless. Dagmar looks at it, and then holds it up against herself in the mirror.

Looks good.

...Really, what would it hurt?

She gets dressed in the provided voile. Apparently, the boggans have decided to go all in on green and gold. That doesn't bother her.

Soon she is out and about in the hold, as before, it is beautiful, walls made of smoothed coral and mother of pearl . It is no longer on high alert, but it certainly is ready if more trouble arises. Thanes here vary a bit more. Trolls still take up the bulk of the guards, but there are a lot of redcaps, and quite a few selkies as well. The latter are rarer to Dagmar.

She gets polite nods "Dame" , and some just nods. But respect. One troll says "Can I Help you, Dame?"

"I was just... exploring? If that's alright."

"Of course it is. Would you like me to escort you or mention some of the areas or just leave you be?" He says "It is the least we can do for a Dragonslayer"

A flush of her cheeks, briefly. "Siv struck the big blow to the gut, and the Squire got in a great shot, and a bunch of Thanes... I mean, that was a group effort."

"True, and no doubt the Lady Captain bears that title as well, but I was there on the shore. I saw you draw the dragon to you, which allowed others to live. AMong them many of my fellow thanes. Much respect is due that, Dame. But I will not speak of it too much before you if it makes you...uncomfortable"

"Chief thinks I should boast more. Not that she boasts much."

"Frankly I've never felt comfortable with it except on holidays" the Thane admits "But it's flattering when a song is made of one's deeds, atl east I find so. Many of our kind around here are used to being in the background until there is trouble, and then were shields that are noticed. Twas ever thus for Troll kith I suppose"

She nods. "I suppose I'm lucky - where I'm from, trolls tend to be more front and center. I think that makes it harder for our smaller friends, though." A pause. "Songs are nice, because, well, you don't have to do them, right? If somebody else thinks you're cool, it's... better."

The thane smiles just a bit, which by troll standards is warm and open "it is. If you like music, PJ plays some some surprisingly sweet ballads and restful tunes. As satyrs go he knows not to impose flirtation if you make it clear it is not welcome"

"I like music, even if I'm not very good at it myself. My mom's a singer, and her father's a full-on skald."

"For me" the Thane says "It's cooking. My mother can cook a pie that's so good, even an iron willed person could scarf it down before they realize they'd had too much. My father makes a damned fine stew. And my Great Aunt... really, nothing she cannot cook. However, I touch a stove and I swear the oven and all cringes"

"Well, the world needs Storms as much as Hearths!"

"Listen, if you ever make it up to Gardens, you should stop by Rivervale. You'll be well fed there."

"Very kind, but I should show you around. Maybe I listed rooms.. you've seen the main court room which is rather open. We have the armory and sparring areas near it. The dinning hall ... I leave the kitchen area alone.

"

A smirk. "Boggans chased you out, eh?"

"And of course, there is a small library but it's a touch cramped for trolls. The baorness means to expand it"

The thane looks sheepish "If I go in there they either hand me food or some how I end up delivering something far from the kitchen. Every time"

"We don't have a lot of boggans at home, but... yeah. They Manage."

"I've got one little old granddame does not come to my belly button. I say in confidence, she's scary" a bit more of a smile "Are you hungry?"

"Kind of, actually. I sort of crashed after my shower. I think my friends are off on an adventure in town."

"Please, follow me" The thane gestures and leads her "You prefer a main dining area or some place for smaller crowds?"

"Um."

"I don't mind either?"

"Main dining hall it is. They notice you sooner there" and Dagmar soon finds herself in an odd half dome of an dining hall, with a lovely skylight above . One can enjoy the filtered sunlight, or take a table in dimmer light or even shadows. The Gwydion can see about 6 other kithain currently eating. Four eating together, the other two at their own tables. She can choose another.

Her stomach helpfully rumbles.

And sure enough, a boggan comes up and bows to her "Today we have options including highly stylish tuna melts, Sushi dishes, or shark steak.. do not fear, the latter is not from an endangered species"

Oh dear, the tiniest nose-wrinkle.

"Sea food is big here" The thane explains

"That makes a lot of sense."

"She doesn't like it" A voice, old, shriveled and strong speaks up "Did you see the nose wrinkle? what are you going to offer to her next? Kelp?"

The thane's eyes widen and Dagmar can tell this new boggan is the one he spoke of

Her cheeks flush. "No, no, a tuna melt will work?"

She is small, wrinkled, and says "Pah . We have chefs dear. Anything wem ake IS good, but your'e a guest." She carries a small cane, and taps it "Now's the time to make requests. we're up to the challenge. We might even have something in reservse so it won't take long. there you are, starving yourself. My god you trolls don't think of yourselves until your stomaches are rumbling"

And Dagmar's stomach chooses THAT moment to rumble

"Ha" the woman points her cane at Dagmar's belly "There you go. See. Now, name it. Big old Beef Burger? A custom made pizzza? A heaping helping of home made chili?"

"I can eat a tuna melt." She protests. Sushi is raw fish, and shark is weird and new...
