Piper is just leaning out from the cab of the truck, an unhappy expression on her face.

Dagmar's broad shoulders are drawn inwards with tension and distress, though she keeps her hands steady as she sets the deer down. Deer are not small creatures, but there's no human watchers to curtail the troll's strength.

There are, however, chimerical lionesses. As if this was the #$##ing Savannah, well, they're grey, not golden, and they have red eyes. But while Dagmar fiddles around, Piper swore she heard whispering... and peeking out, sees them stalking the deer and now? Piper

"D..d...Dagmar? I think you should get back in the truck." An odd note in Piper's voice.

The Eshu was approaching the deer with a knife to finish it off and put it out of it's pain

And that's when Piper realizes, that wounded deer , that's got glamour, that.. could be a pooka, a dazed wounded, pooka!

"Marco! STOP!" There are Lions LIONS LIONS?! Runs through her head, but she can't worry about that now, not when the Eshue might be about to make a huge mistake, she darts over to him, grabbing the arm with the knife.

"But the deer is suffering and.. wait ,Lions?"

NOW Dagmar definitely sees the grey lionesses with red eyes

"It's not a deer!" She blurts out, then realizes that she still has a peanutbutter and banana sandwich in her hand. "P..p...." It takes her a moment to stutter it out, but she manages a bunk. Singing one of the stupidest catchy tunes ever.... kinda..

"Peanut butter 'Nana time, Peanut butter 'nana time - Peanut butter NANA!" She CHUCKS the sandwich past the lionesses, casting a Cantrip that, if it works, may make them desire Chiquita and Jif FAR more than Satyr and Venison.

Dagmar rises, looking nonplussed.

"Dagmar, I need you! This is a pooka! I... I think it is! Can you get him into the car?"

Knowing that she might go on the defense, or offense, otherwise.

Blink. Nod! And the trolless PICKS UP the deer.

And finds the deer much lighter as it has transformed into a pooka and passed out completely. She is hurt though cut chimericaly, and yes, she ran into a #$#ing truck trying to get away from the chimera...

and speaking of the chimera...

The lionesses look confused, stopping and looking, ILL at the notion of .. ugh.. meat. They want to bite, but one looks ready to vomit.. going more a grey green than a grey silver. tahe other two stop and growl testily, then they see the sandwich in PIper's hand and their eyes lock on it

The sandwich, she yeeted - not as well or as far as Dagmar may have, but past her friends, and out onto the other side of the highway.

Their eyes follow the yeeted food, as it goes over their head, and they pursue it

Where there may or may not be traffic. But what's a few cars, when there's DE-LI-CIOUS SANDWICH?

Piper checks her pockets, and goes a bit pale. She brought a cookie, she knows she did, but... was she wounded earlier? There was blood on her guitar. Either way, her one is missing.

"Dagmar, do you still have a cookie?" Feeling terrible for asking that, when the other wilder may well need it in the future, but... jesus, the deer pooka's ARM looks like it's on backwards.

Dagmar carries the unconscious pooka to the truck's cab. "Yeah, got two."

DEEP relief, and she looks over to check on Marco.

"In my backpack, front pocket."

"I almost killed a... " Marco 's hands are shaking... dropping the knife

She snaps her fingers a few times, regretting the rudeness even as she does it. "Focus! Those lions won't be fooled for long..."

Digging through the pockets. ...why are there Milkbones in here?!

A cookie found, she passes it to Dagmar.

"Thanks... Marco, you didn't."

"You were trying to save an animal from suffering."

She breaks off a bite of cookie and presses it into the pooka's mouth. "C'mon."

The Eshu is snapped back to the moment and starts the truck revving it

rigs don't do fast acceleration unless you've got them pointed down a hill, but Mr. Hollister finds his focus and chants "Once upon a time, a long time ago, a big semi moved it's fucking ass..." And the quicksilver kicks in

Leaving confused Chimerical lionesses spitting out , or trying to spit out, Peanut butter and banana.

Save one, who botched, and will love the flavor forever.

Dagmar tries to get the lovely pooka in her lap to chew, to stop her bleeding out and... then, a nibble. The glamour is far from the hearth that made it... but the bleeding ,stops

"Good, yes!" Another tiny bite is offered.

Piper reaches over and carefully wipes the blood from her face with a tissue, offering a bit of her own glamour as she does.

"I don't know who you are, dear lady" Marco says to his latest passenger, only later will he be aware of the pun, "But I am so sorry. We will get you far away from those things. That much I can do"

"Probably eshu luck in action, right?" Feeding her a crumble at a time.

Another bite and.. the pooka's gaze moves about finding focus "Why am I in lapland?"

"Hi. Sorry."
