A nod "Okay. That's good. Now what works for me may not work for you, and so on. But this girl from English class. You like her. Folks you met when you went out, they seemed decent. As a troll, it sometimes helps to see them as folks who you can protect, who might need your protection even if they don't realilze the way the world is. I'm not saying stress out over it or 'oh no i've failed' if one stubs a toe, but it gives you a compass . Like 'while I'm nearby, this place is safe. These people are safe. I am here and I will make this happen and if I fail it won't be without a fight'... it can ground you. As a rover I have to adopt that attitude with total strangers on trods. It helps me. Will it help you? I don't know. But it might be worth looking into. When you feel like you don't fit in your own skin, or where you are... sometimes it's good to look into yourself and find the core of your values no matter what Court you are. I can't tell you who Sam King is. I can't tell you who Dame Dagmar is, not really. Only you can do that. But I can tell you, she's worth knowing"

"I feel better when... when, yeah, I can defend. Trolls, right?"

"It's what we were dreamt for, pain in the ass sometimes." A nod "But you can make it work for you with a bit of cunning and forethought. I'm not saying it fixes all things, but I found it helps."

"Oh, that'll happen" He nods "World is too full of monsters of one sort or the other. Just be careful about sons of adam punching. Don't want to get expelled so be sneaky unless things are clearly i nteh righto n you even by mortal side. No reason you can't patrol here if you want. Hell, if it helps, write reports. This isn't RV turf, but what comes here might get to us, and vice versa right?"

"Yeah, it's not anyone's turf."

"No fire. Really weird."

"Most of the world is lacking balefire... gotta muse or visit a hold. And don't be too proud to come back to RV for a night if you need to. We can get you back to class in the morning. Goes for all of you" A consideration "The not anyone's turf is fine, I can respect that, but that doesn't keep you from patroling. You're not planting a flag after all"

"The drive is okay. Doable. And train during the day."

A grunt nod

A pause. "Wanna spar?"

"Sure, but I got tell you, if you kill me, you're out of the will. I'm petty like that. "

"Ha!"

"Sy would be pissed if we did it here. No room, anyways."

"Yeah, clang clang crash....Okay, where's a private spot where we won't attract too much attention while we beat the crap out of each other?" A smile

"No great Dreaming nooks... but there's this alley?"

"Sounds good" He says and motions her to lead the way

Her mouth pulls back in a wolfish grin. "Alright!"

"If we're lucky, we'll find a mugger in the alley way,.. poor bastard" A grin back

"Ha!"

THey move into the alley way

As they go in, Dagmar senses something. Before Olgar even. There, up high, is something that Symon might think quite lovely. A five foot tall skull with Spider Legs of blood red hue

She tenses, alert. "Get ready."

And she reaches for Flyswatter.

The creature SPITS thin red hooks on red strings, trying to lance their flesh, fortunately, they are ready for it.

Dagmar shouts and charges in, great halberd swinging!

The hooks try to lace into their skin, but instead grasp armor if it can't get that, and it starts to try to wind around it's prey. Big mistake, as Olgar PULLS the strings, yanking it down, and Dagmar, Swinging, strikes the bone like body!

Flyswatter fractures it!

Fly swatter's first foe was a chimerical bug, apparently this is close enough for it's magic to empower it!

Olgar gives a chop too, but his axe is not named Spidersmacker, so it doesn't do as much, Olgar growls "Okay, we'll get mean"

Speaking of mean, the hooks and strings PULL tearing at the skin and armor.. and the thing tries to bite at Dagmar

She bashes it in the face, with knuckles and haft.

OWCH.. she's bleeding.. been awhile since she got injured. This feels..real. Not like she's into pain, but this, THIS makes sense!

And she knows what to do to those things that hurt her. She hurts it back! The haft SMASHES it down, cracking it further.

Olgar whoops "We got it" And severs the threads with his axe in a sweep

It does hurt... but, yes! Part of her revels in it - not a fake joust, a show battle...

And she can let LOOSE on this chimera!

Olgar sweeps the leg this time, it doesn't trip the creature, but itw ounds it, and draws it's attention. She has an opening!

A brutal whack!

The already fractured skull shatters under this final blow like a precracked egg! Oh it's as hard as stone, but it's a bug.. and Flyswatter kills bugs.. DEAD!

The chimera crumbles into pieces, bony bits. The legs curl in death

Olgar laughs "Ugly son of a bitch wasn't it?"
