"At...a bar?" Sylvi blinks. Does. Not. Compute.

Dirk says "Were you poisoning someone, Symon?"

Kerri is helping to make sure that everybody gets something to eat. And if she puts a little extra on Piper's plate, well, that's just a lack of precision, right?

Symon shakes his head! "NO... but... you're not far off. There was a group m-meetup for a project. I didn't get to pick. But I saw... there was a girl, right, and I thought someone put something in her drink. I went over to check... and she turned around, and saw me looking at her glass. C-called the bouncer, and he was going to call the cops..."

Cairrean finishes for him, "But -I- saw the whole thing, you know. I insisted they review their cameras before calling ANYONE, and you know, it backed him up." Proud.

"Mmph."

"Huh, good you caught em, " A nod

"Oh! Well...yeah, thanks for helping keep his name clear," Sylvi says.

"Good thing you were there."

"Did they catch the person who did it?"

There's a twitch near her ear from the tension in her jaw.

Symon shakes his head. "The bartender said they'd watch for him again... but he just looked like another college guy." A faint scowl there.

Cairrean clucks her tongue a bit. "Poor Symon. It's not nice to have people judge you like that." Patting him on the arm.

Sylvi's brow furrows for a moment, but then she smooths it over. "No, it's not."

"I'm glad that it all worked out."

Symon nods. "Yeah. The bouncer was ready to bounce me a few times."

Jaymes nods to Jessica "Welcome" And picks up his son "Come on, let's get a hot dog for you"

"You ARE kindof bouncable" Dirk says

"Yes, very good." She bares her wolven teeth. Pardon, she smiles. Yes. A smile.

"Hey, there's food out," Sylvi points out. "Ready to eat? By long tradition, I have to say that the food coming off of my Dad's grill is far superior. That's the one on the right."

"Oh, let's!" Cairrean says enthusiastically. "The diet starts Monday, right?" A grin to Sylvi, who has been the more approachable of the two.

"Mom saved some scalloped potatoes from last week, Sy. The ones with the cheese?"

"Uh, right." Sylvi gestures for them to go first.

Symon gives a little side-glance towards Cairrean, then a small shake of his head. "I uh, ate earlier. Maybe I'll take some to go? Tove makes the best potatoes. Don't tell Anne Marie I said that..."

And he's being tugged in that direction as Cairrean heads to see what's on the grill and tables.

Dirk watches them go. Odd, he goes after food first normally

Sylvi gives Dagmar a look.

Jaw-jut.

We have got to talk about this later.

Dirk considers, then waits till Symon is amid OTHER Noise and says "I don't see thsi one lasting"

"Shhh!" Sylvi says.

Soon, out of earshot even for a sluagh, in this crowd.

"I don't get it. At all."

"Okay, so...am I being too suspicious?"

"What? She's pretty. She seems... nice..."

Cairrean can be seen chatting enthusiastically with whatever wilder might be at the snack table near the grills. Symon lurks nearby, though his gaze often trails back to Cairrean. Is that a softness to his often guarded expression?

FROWN.

"The story doesn't hold up. If she saw the whole thing, why didn't she warn the girl about her drink? Or tell the bartender?"

"She wasn't lying. I'd know."

"Oh. Right. You would."

"The roommates." HUFF.

Dirk shrugs "Mom's gonna want to go over her with a fien tooth comb"

"Well, we are," she admits.

"I don't like how she won't hold his hand," Sylvi points out.

"Huh?"

"He tried to hold her hand. She said it was cold and held his arm instead."

A glower.

Dirk says "Yeah. No skin contact. Mind you, he IS kind of gross to the touch but you'd think any girl he was with could accept that"

"I mean, I haven't spent a lot of time holding hands with a sluagh, so I don't know, but..."

"It's fine. It's fine. He's happy."

Sylvi's brow furrows again. "Sure looks happy, yeah."

"His hands are fine. They stick when you let go, though."

A glance at Dagmar, but no comment.
