July third... late evening

And Siv and Piper are at the Lodge

"Thanks for the help, Piper," Siv says as the help move chairs in place outside of it for tomorrow's picnic "You sure you're okay?"

"I'm about to pop you one if you ask again." She says, though fondly. "I'll let you know when and IF I am not, okay? I'm not made of sugar, or glass."

Siv blushes "Sorry. I... well uh... troll? " Hoping that gets her an out "Strong like Ox, smart like Tractor? Protective like Insurance Policy?"

Stealing a bit from Dagmar but hey

She smiles up at Siv. "I'm not mad. I just... if we follow through, I might go mad from 9 hours of protective troll hovercraft."

Siv chuckles "No promises, but I'll TRY to not umbrella ye constantly, love"

A wistful look out the window.

And Piper sees a light

A flash of silver in the distance in the woods

"Something wrong? " Siv asks

"I thought I saw something. A light maybe? Too early for fireworks, though."

And that's when Piper sees Echo, Olgar's dog, racing towards the light outside

"Look, the dogs are all fussy. Maybe it IS fireworks... but don't dogs normally run away?"

"Not OUR dogs" Siv grabs her weapon and heads out towards it "Let's go"

Piper dodges around the chairs and follows. "Do I need a weapon?!"

"I don't want ... " A stop, then "yes. Here. " Siv hands her a stilleto from her boot "Just.. let me take lead if it's trouble?"

"Obviously. I'm a lover, not a fighter. That's why I found me a lady who does both." Following, the stilleto tucked carefully into her belt.

"If I fought as well as you make love, I'd be the top swordswoman in the Kingdom" She moves at full run, but Piper keeps up easily because satyr speed.

Echo sees them following, and barks excitedly! Leading them on into the woods

"If this is some sort of wild goose chase..." She huffs as she follows.

"Then we eat wild goose lunch tomorrow" Siv agrees, "And the dog gets kibble..."

And then they see two trolls in the trees...

Olgar is in the branch of a high tree, scratched and wounded...

In the branch below him, there's Jonas!

Piper scans the surrounding, looking for a creature that might have chased them up a tree.

There is a fierce looking Chipmunk chimera of rainbow hues

"Jonas?!" Siv calsl excitedly "What happened?"

"Did... did you get treed by a squirrel?" Looking to see if Echo has noticed the rodent.

Echo pays it no mind

H'es too happy to see Olgar!

"Hell no," Olgar says offended, "We fell onto these trees"

"Jonas Middlename Lastname, you get down here this instant!" Piper calls up at him, hands on her hips!

Jonas protests "But Piper I..."

"Worried SICK" Siv adds, ired. As if it is Jonas' fault

"Do you KNOW how long you've been gone?!"

"Actually, due to the temporal fluidity of dreaming time, I am unaware of the current date..." Jonas nimbly gets down, sliding along with excellent control

"It's JULY!"

Knowing full well it was May, early! May! when he left..

"Better not be after the 4th" Olgar says as he comes down more clumsily

"Well!" Kerri took a bit longer to catch up after hearing Echo's familiar bark.

She watches Olgar descend the tree with fond bemusement. "Having fun up there?"

"The THIRD" Siv says as if that makes it worse. She can't help it, she's ired. fiona and satyresses don't have to be reasonable and he was gone forever damn it

"Might as well be the thirtieth!"

A grin as the other women chastise Jonas.

Olgar says "Oh yeah... dandy" he's got bruises and cuts "The third? Good, the BBQ is safe."

"The barbe... the BARBEQUE - Mister Olgar, if I didn't owe you a debt, I'd be of a mind to barbeque this tree with you both in it!"

THe Rover moves to his wife and gives her a kiss. He'll need a clean up and a shower but well, he misses her
