"And from what I remember of Ellie, that would suit her beautifully. And progress towards a goal like that is unlikely to happen at a steady pace."

Jess nods, and takes a drink. "Thanks." in reference to the beverage.

"Well, we've had our own adventures of late...." and she relates the tale of Dagmar rescuing the trafficking victims, and their subsequent arrival at RV.

Jess listens with interest, catching up on the news.

And then Kerri has work to do

but by then Olgar is talking to Jessica . he's quickly caught up "Peace talks on this scale. Damn."

"Well, don't know about scale. Right now I'd be happy if the mainland Nunnehi would withdraw."

"Hmm " A nod "You know what you need?"

"What?"

"A noble lord from OUTSIDE the pennisual, to come in, and DEMAND you attack the Nunnehi... to try to throw his weight around, and you publicly defy him where Nunnehi can hear it"

"Huh." Jess thinks about it.

"That's an interesting idea. That I should let the -mainland- Nunnehi hear it?"

"That's what I would suggest yeah. now the Noble should actually be okay with this, but... it might drive some points home"

"I could ... maybe with the prisoners of war? Whoever the noble is could demand we attack, and then maybe demand I at least kill or surrender the prisoners, and I reject that too?"

"I think it would work. Look, it's deception in one way, but the core message is TRUE. "

"You're saying... more like a morality play than a lie?"

"Actually that's a good term for it" He nods "We both know if you were ordered to kill a helpless nunehi prisoner you'd probably tell whoever to get bent, or maybe work around it"

"I would." she agrees thoughtfully.

"So there you go" he says "Now, tell me tell you how Luis is doing with the rovers"

(Fade to talk about Luis, a former troll of Fenix, is doing fine)

Edelwiess feels huge. Bloated. She's a fae hound, she's smart. So how come her brain feels like a fog all the time? It's like the pups inside her are hijacking her canine brain cells

And she's not a happy dog about it

JULY 4th! Rivervale and immediate area!

Grills are cooking!

Sylvi now knows her dad's secrets...but she's much happier actually having him there in his rightful place, rather than trying to fill his shoes.

Brekke has set aside an area in the boat house with a scene fuddle that blocks out noise, so any of the animals (or guests) who find the holiday too loud can get some respite there.

Dag comes with the rest of her family - this apparently includes Brown Dog. CJ is getting a ride on her shoulders.

Kerri's work has mainly been in the preparation. With the men at the grills, she's content to set out some platters of sides and treats, and then grab a beer and put up her feet for a change.

CJ waves "HI" from his siter's back

"Hello, CJ! My, you've gotten taller than me!" Kerri says with mock amazement.

CJ Puffs up "I HAD HELP"

Jaymes looks proud

"Hey."

"Good for you!" A wink to Jaymes, a hug for Tove. "I'm so glad you're here," she says to Dagmar especially.

Tove calls out "Need help, Kerri?"

"Course I'm here."

"Well, it's mostly done for the moment, Tove, but you could help with this overstock of beer we've got. You too, Jaymes."

"Well, I brought some hotwings if it doesn't intrude on the boys" Tove explains

Jaymes nods at the beer "I can help"

Brekke is moving some benches around.

"It does not intrude, and is very welcome. Thank you, Tove. Let's put them over here...."

Siv comes in wearing a new shirt and sticking like Glue to Piper and Jonas!
