There is a pile of them almost as tall as her.

She mentally thanks Connor, and holds out said towel to Clem.

Jaymes moves forward.. takes a breath.. and cuts. He looks utterly calm.. on the outside as he does this

And.. things are dealt with.. and the bit of cord preserved for.. why would you SAVE that? And soon.. a light pop on the bottom..

And Dagmar's little brother lets the world know he does NOT appreciate the bright, the cold, AND a pop on the bottom.. it's a fine how do you do!

Dagmar is STARING. He's so tiny!

And loud!

"He's.. he's healthy?" Tove says, relieved, as if she had been worried and hiding it until now.

"Count the fingers and toes for yourself" Clem says and having wiped the baby off, lays him down on the mother. "What's his name?"

"Clint Jaymes" Tove says "C.J." Craddling the baby to her "oh.. Jaymes.. come look..."

Jaymes grins like a fool.

Clem says "Thank you for the towel, Dagmar' She did put it to use

"Dagmar!" Tove says "Come .. see your brother up close."

Dagmar is lurking, backed into the hallway.

"Um..."

"Come on," Jaymes motions, "Our son should meet our daughter"

A soft push on her back and Connor whispers, "See the puppy."

She approaches, steadiness broken into a jumble of nerves.

The music over the lodge has changed...as C.J. Stops crying... and locks his blue eyes onto his sister. As if she is truly a most amazing creature.. or it could be gas. His eyes ARE Kind of rolly

"...hi."

Did he smile at her?

Then he seems to realize something else... and starts to fuss and build up to a cry again

"Oh.. oh he's fussing" Tove says

Jaymes says "What's wrong?" Brow knit

"By the look of it... he's hungry" Clem says "Tove.. assuming you were breast feeding you might..."

"OH!" She blushes

Blush!

And a look away.

Soon, "Oh thank god, he's latching" Tove says

"They usually do, " Clem says "Now...we have healing magics and the like we're going to use you. It's a cheat, speed up your recovery"

Dagmar peeks again.

"I should... oh, should I get Torin? Announce downstairs?"

"Yes, I think it's good the announcement from from one our family" Tove lights up

Jaymes, stroking the baby's hair, looks over at Dagmar and nods

A nod. She reaches out, hand hovering but not quite touching the tiny thing. "Okay."

"Go ahead," Jaymes offers, removing his own hand so she can do the same "he came with a lot more hair than I expected"

The most trepadatious touch!

The child doesn't explode or break or crack like glass...

Tove smiles "He trusts you"

Big eyes.

"I... I... I'm gonna go announce..."

Gobsmacked, she retreats.

Tromp tromp tromp to the landing. "Clint James is here and he's healthy!"

CHEERS Fly up from..well, everyone!

Zane starts writing "Clint James King, born..." He puts down the date

"Torin, Tove wants you..."

"I was about ready t leap up there!" He charges, stopping only to give Dagmar a hug "Good wood work, grand daughter"

Frank sticks his head in from the back yard where he's been working, at the sound of cheers.

And sees Zane at his desk!
