Jaymes grins at that, then looks over "What do you think of him?"

"He's so tiny."

A firming breath. ("I must protect this Tiny Thing with my life!")

"he is" a nod ("We will")

And for a moment both stare at the smell stranger on Tove that has just ..shown up and helped himself into their lives, and possibly their hearts.

Dirk half yells up the stairs "Hey...patroling was weird.. and I got Nadeen out of lock down ... "

"I'll check..."

Down to the landing. "Weird how?" She looks for the Varich even as she addresses Dirk.

"Amazons and stuff.." he says "Ate a stork"

"They... what?"

Nadeen moves to Dagmar "How are you?"

"Oh, they tried to castrate a mailbox" he says "Weird."

"Good! He's tiny.. I don't think... it's still just family, y'know? Tove had a hard morning, she needs space."

"I won't pester her then, came more to see you. I figured EVERY one else will be making eyes over the baby" Nadeen shrugs

"So far, it's just Clem and then family. Sylvi helped with midwifing...."

"Wait till word gets out, the boggans alone.." she shudders, a bit melodramatically "Oh god, the boggans"

Eyebrow.

"oh fine, but they're all going to act like every gassy sound out of him is not worthy. Mark me"

"Dunno, tiny babies aren't bad. They eat, sleep, shit and cry."

"Toddlers... " A thousand-yard stare.

"In case you need help babysitting...well.. I point you to gerd or anyone else" Nadeen smiles

"Well.... they said I wouldn't be forced to babysit except if there was an emergency..."

"they may forget that by the time he's a toddler" Nadeen says "Come on, let's get drink and food in you. You must be famished"

"Oh..." Blink. "I might be?"

"Do you think Tove needs food?"

"Let's go ask Kerri... she's prepped"

"I know it's weird to say, but I think she's looking for the chance to bury them with food as an excuse to see CJ"

And down they go to see what the Hearth has planned

and to enjoy the crowd's happiness
