RV resumes!

"Of course I know you're Jack NOW." Connor argues, "But we need a secret code because what if you're not Jack later?"

Jack sighs "But it's not like anyone would WANT to be me"

"They might if it means that they can sneak into the lodge and do bad things." Stoutly insistent.

"And then YOU would get blamed! It would be like being a pooka."

"Only without the fun ears."

"But sometimes Pooka DO do those things" He says "NOt the BAD things"

"No, never." He swears! "Not ever. Did I tell you about the time Gerd stole all the cheese right before Thanksgiving, and then I took the blame for her? That's what good family does, though."

Something smells peanut-butter-and-maple-y from the kitchen.

"Well, seeing as it's you..." Jack ponders "I have seen Gerd eat string cheese before"

His nose is up, snuffle snuff snuff.... and he trails towards the kitchen. "It's... a trap?"

Dagmar is dolloping spoonfuls of SOEMTHING out on waxed paper.

A cautious peering through the doorway. Unsure. "Who goes there?"

"Hey Connor. They're not ready yet, they have to set."

"What's the password?"

"He's been like this ALL day" Jack tells Dagmar

Nose twitches. He licks his lips, but remains just out of arms reach in the doorway.

"Um." Brow furrow. "Peanut butter?"

He looks thoughtful. "Did we forget to set a password. Oh. It doesn't work then." A little perplexed.

"What is Star's favorite treat?"

"It's her.." Jack says "The Not Adam didn't act like Adam... This lady acts like Dagmar so IS dagmar.."

"Honestly, Star's favorite treat is the one she steals from Stormwake."

"But otherwise, apples."

"He was a little like Adam. He walked like he was Big Boss in town." And he giggles at Dagmar. "You win! The prize is... what ARE those?"

"No-bake cookies, but they don't have chocolate. They're oats and peanut butter and maple syrup and honey..."

Drifting into the kitchen now, he finds himself plopped on the floor, and leaning against her sturdy legs almost as an afterthought. An arm snakes around to hold onto one.

"Gerd took care of him, but he made her take a magic marker on the arm so he could know it was her. Now she can NEVER wash that wrist" Jack says following and shaking his head

"But before they're cookies, they're goo." Plopping another on the tray.

"I bet goo tastes AWFULLY good."

"It has my favorite tastes in it. How did you know?"

"Well, if you get a spoon, you can taste some and find out."

He produces one instantly from a pocket.

A pause, and he wipes it on his shirt, then offers again.

"...how?" Blink. "Nevermind." She takes his spoon, and drops some goo onto it from hers... careful to not contaminate the big batch.

Jack says "Can I try some?"

"Spoon!"

"Shee, das why ish good to have a schpoon." Mumbled through his mouthful. "Mmm! Cause you never know when there might be something that needs eatin' up."

Indeed, the mixture is Very Sticky.

Jack grabs the biggest spoon he can find, and then SMILES real big

"That for SOUPS." he laughs, wishing he had thought of that.

"Not for GOOPS."

Dag lets out a single chuckle... and portions a sensible amount of goo on Jack's spoon. Killjoy.

"Rats. I mean.. THank you" He corrects himself. It would appear Kerri has had a few 'talks' with him about manners for what you get.

Then he tastes it, "mm really thanks!"

"There's no rats, though. Spooky cat scared them all away."

"I found the recipe online."

"Well, you lined it up good"

"It's..." He frowns a bit. "It's missing something. Hmmm. Maybe if I tried another bite I could tell."
