And... yup, another dollop for the pooka. And Jack.

He gobbles it down with yummy noises, then nods decisively. "That was it! It needed a friend." Patting his stomach.

Jack enjoys the second and says "You're amazeballs, Dagmar"

"I'm glad I thunk up the recipe."

"Thank you for the feedback."

A grin up at Dagmar. "Are these for the horses? They DO like oats n sugars."

"And there's no frosting."

"I figured it was for Connors and Jacks and Gerds... but yeah, Star might like one. They'd be safe."

"Star nearly ate M.A.'s straw hat" Jack giggles as he remembers the look on Myrttle Anne's face

"Oh no!"

"She di'... she WOULD, that brat..."

"Well, M.A. said it was okay ..she even laughed about it. She's cool like that" he says "But the look when she got surprised by it.." Snicker

"I bet it was funny!"

"So funny" Jack says "Though I think it wasn't as tasty as Star hoped" He says

"I don't think a hat would be very tasty, even to a horse."

"Sometimes funny is as fun as tasty."

"And you never KNOW if it's tasty until you try..."

"Sometimes you know something is gross without trying, though."

A nod to Connor "That's true. That's how you learned about that soap... it wasn't REALLY strawberry flavored"

"But not all spices are good ones." A bit doleful. "I tried to make cookies with pretty spices. And I liked the name."

"Pup-rika cookies were not tasty though. Only brown dog would eat them."

"Ohhh..."

"Brown Dog does good service..."

"AND he made this face..." He wrinkles up his nose a bit and works his mouth.

Snort-laugh.

"But he still ate it!" A laugh.

Speaking of... Brown Dog has ALSO smelled peanut butter.

"Brown Dog has no shame" Jack says

Maayyyybbeeeee Connor has some left on his fingers... sniff sniff lick...

The messy spoon is shared for cleaning.

"Is there a peanut butter bowl? It's important to pre-wash those so they come clean."

"Um... I mostly emptied out the jar..." Brow-furrow as she holds out the scraped-down container.

"Oh! I know how to wash that." Reaching out.

"Oops. Grocery trip!"

"Well.. I mean, gotta clean it out..."

He runs a finger along the inside and licks the peanut butter off his digit. "Mmmmm....." And then holds the jar for Brown Dog to lick clean. "If you put holes in the jar you can catch firey-flies when they come back. But you can only keep them for a bit then you have to let them go because they have important business to do."

A shrug and she hands it over.

"You do want to protect lightning bugs. I heard they're endangered."

"And I mean, they're pretty magical..."

"They are? " A troubled look "Who would hate fireflies? "

"I think it has something to do with weedkiller."

"That's sad. I mean. weeds can be hard to deal with but .. geez."

Tove is carrying groceries into the Lodge's kitchen!

"Tove! You didn't go to the store!"

Grumble.

She goes past to fetch the other groceries.

"I didn't go in.. Myrtle Did... and like most boggans she's a busy body" Grumble
