"Ah, anyone out there?" Tove calls having slept trhough most of the morning

"Coming mom!" Thundering up the stairs.

"Hey," Tove says with forced calm, "Please call Clem again. Tell her I'm very sorry, but my water broke."

One can almost imagine her fluttering her eyelashes trying to be sweet about this.

Her eyes widen, and she nods. "Can do. So... no coffee?" She has a cup in hand.

"I'll take it" And she does "Go on... and wake your father. "

"Okay, okay." Stoic and steady, loke she promised Brekke.

She heads downstairs and gives Jaymes' shoulder a shake. "Dad, it's starting."

Jaymes SITS UP "What? Wait.. it is?!" He stands up "You called Clem?"

"That's next. Go upstairs."

Dagmar goes to the phone closet.

Jaymes almost LEAPS three steps at a time as he moves!

Dialing. "Hello, may I speak to Clem?"

"Oh dear, time already?" Agnes says "I'll get her right away." The old woman's voice is firm, proper, but despite her covering the phone for a moment, Dagmar can hear "CLEM! It's Rivervale. I suspect she and the baby have decided it's time!!"

"Thank you, Hearth Agnes."

"Welcome, young lady. Ah, here she is" /Phone changes hands "Clem here. What's the situation?"

"Tove said her water broke. Dad's upstairs."

"Can do. Should I get anything ready? Good god, we have towels..."

"Can do!"

"DAD, CLEM IS ON HER WAY!"

"GOOD!" Calls back

Clem says "Dandy. Hanging up and heading out" and she does

Dagmar goes to the kitchen, putting on the kettle and checking on the coffee.

By the time it actually boils, Clem is coming in through the doors "Knock Knock I'm here..." Black bag ready

"Tove's upstairs, I have water! And coffee!"

Clem takes a shot of the coffee, "Thanks, honey. " She places some tools, tip end, into the boiling water "Hopefully won't need those but if I do they'll be sterile"

Dagmar nods, trailing after Clem like a duckling while carrying the pot.

Up they go to a hard breathing laying down Tove "Oh thank god you're here."

Jaymes has thrown towels about

"Everything is going to be okay." Stubbornly.

"Yes" Tove says nodding in a huff

Clem nods, "Times between contractions?"

Before Tove can answer, Jaymes does. Apparently he's been clocking this!

"I see.." Clem says "Okay. Dagmar... the four of us are making this a bit crowded. Would you be willing to step out and wait down stairs? maybe get your grandpa?"

She makes a face, but nods.

"I'll go get him."

"Thank you, darling" Clem says "He can pace the floor with you. This could be quick could take hours"

"HOURS?" Tove says

"Right. Be back soon."

"Well, as your water broke probably not hours..." Clem says

Dag thunders down the stairs - she'll make this trip quick!

On the way, Brekke atop Stormwake is informed of the most recent developments!

Jack Flap calls out "The garden's full of cabbages!"

Storks , Chimerical ones, can be seen.. one circles the lodge like a vulture...

A thought, and then she's in the stable and on Star's back.

And racing they go to pick up Torin who sleeps on the porch with Racer with him
