Sylvi looks sheepish. "We thought telling you might jinx it."

Kerri looks...well, her emotions seem complicated at best.

Olgar nods "I'm proud of you, Sylvi. All of you." Then he says "Of course, you're grounded after the celebration, but that was a given"

Then he winks at his wife

"Da-aad!" A belabored sigh.

Kerri gives a slight grin at her husband.

"Oh that's cold" Siv says

"But wait," Sylvi says, "What were you saying Adam did? I only half-heard as I was coming in the door."

"Adam slew a Lindnorm... of a rare type... it's breathe can poison and dissolve fae souls," Emmit explains "Fascinating monsters... that think could have killed three strong warriors utterly or more within an hour IF they'd been changelings. A kinian is immune to the breath, but I bet he still got clawed and could have died that way despite his modesty"

"How'd you know that?" Adam asks, puzzled.

Sylvi blinks at him. "Seriously? That's...that's like the nightmare under my bed. And I'm the girl with a pet severed hand," she points out.

"Because I'm a Mountain, and Mountains..shamans if you prefer, study the mystical... sometimes that includes beasts that are quite lethal." Emmit says

"Adam, are you hurt?" Kerri asks with concern.

"Nah, I had a cookie. And so did Oak. And there was this....uh, magic that came out of the thing."

"Glamour. You got some of its glamour." Kerri looks impressed. "Thank you, Adam. You protected all of us."

"Not bad, not bad at all" Olgar says

"Yeah? Well.... ok. I mean, good. Glad it helped."

Jessica lifts an eyebrow.

"Did you keep any of it? Like a trophy? Sometimes things like teeth can make good amulets, right, Mountain Emmit?"

"Uh, no, uh.... Dame Tiffany has.... I guess the bits she could get?"

"The bits are over there... looks ready for tanning" Olgar says

"Oh! Gloves! You could totally have gloves from it! Or a vest, or a belt. Some of the DeBukes are really good at tanning, maybe they could teach you?"

"That .... sounds cool." Adam agrees.

"A momento for a hero" Siv says without irony or sarcasm

Adam seems a bit wary, as if waiting for the other shoe to drop.

No shoe drops!

"Yeah?"

"Why the hell not?" Olgar grunts

"Uh, ok. That would be cool. Uh, thanks."

Jessica clears her throat, glancing up the stairs for just a flicker. "I should be getting back. At least visiting will be easier now." She hugs Siv, and makes her way around the room to hug others as custom and affection indicate.

"But mom's not back yet, sure you can't stay you know, for dinner or something?"

Siv does give the hug

"I mean, she's back, just she and dad aren't back from.. ah y'know" Blush

Jessica's cheeks are purple too. "You know, Siv, I'd rather just go than find out how long we'd have to wait."

"Good point. " A cough "Okay. And I'll..try to remember to dcall head rather than just barge in on you over there"

"I don't mind, just let me know when you get there. And, you know, look like yourself at least at first."

A knock at the door, and a rather mussed Piper steps in - Her hair all in windblown disarray, and clad in... a chainmail bikini, viking helmet, and with a SPEAR! "Knock knock, can I imagine from the sounds of cheer that the heros have returned?" Peering around to see who all is in the main lodge.

"That last part's no fun"

Siv, Olgar, Mountain Emmit, Hearth Arthek... and over there is Zane passed out

Adam over in a corner, watching, and Jessica saying farewell.....

"Oh! Zane..." She starts to call, then realizes he's zonked. "Is he okay? Did... everyone come back?" A little alarmed.

Jessica seems very much at home, although Piper has never seen this troll before.

"Adam!" She spies him in the corner, his clothes ripped and blood stained, and her spear falls in a clatter as she rushes over to grab his shoulders, looking him over. "Jesus, are you okay? You look run through the RINGER!"

Adam grins, lighting up. "Yeah, yeah, fine! Oak and I killed a thing."

He gestures to the remains.

The little demon chimera cheers, "They sure did"

She barely gives the corpse a glance before pulling Adam in for a fierce hug. "I'm glad you're okay!"

Siv turns "Hey Piper I.. okay, I like the armor"

Adam hugs her right back.
