"Where are we?" he asks.

Jessica knows.. how could she not. This is... this is Rivervale!

"Well shit." She blinks. "We're in Rivervale."

"How did.." he raises a brow, "We have a new trod, just like that?" He turns to look at the door on this side. it has a bit more arch, looks like it should be in Fenix hold more than RV's hall, but then, the other side of the door looks more RV style and is in Fenix

Jess looks a little sour, but shrugs. "I - Guess we should say hello?"

"Or maybe 'hi, you have a trod in your hold. Was it here before?"

While not linked to Rivervale, she can feel it vibrating with new energy.

Footsteps, "Who intrudes on the hold of.." A sidhe boy comes up, He wears the color of House Daireann, but is very much NOT alejandro.

"Pardon me, but please identifiy yourself," the sidhe says, "How did you get into Rivervale lodge?"

"I'm Jessica King, Frank and Brekke's daughter. May I know who you are?"

"The Chieftain's older daughter?" He says and relaxes, then bows, "Apologies, I am Brogan of House Daireann, Squire and Apprentice to Hearth Kerri, acting Chief of the Lodge."

"Kerri has a -squire-?? Oh. Wait, yes, I think I remember.... Pleasure to meet you. This is Coy DeBuke."

"An honor, sir. What titles should I call you by? And please, follow me. I'll make you something in the kitchen. Hearth Kerri will be back shortly I hope. Rover Olgar is checking out some sort of surge at the heart of the Dreaming itself."

"Jessica." She follows him, although she doesn't need to. "He is? Hm. Makes sense."

"Just Coy" Coy says cautiously around a sidhe he doesn't know

Squire Brogan nods, "Now, how did you get in? Edelwiess would normally notice"'

Indeed, Edelweiss moves up to sniff at Jessica and wags to see her

"I'll cover that with Kerri when she returns.... unless... is my father around?"

"He's out with your sister," The Squire heading into the kitchen, "Coffee?"

"Yes, please. Thank you."

"Black I assume?"

"Um, cream and sugar, actually. I can fix it."

"OH no, please , let me. I need the practice. You , Coy?"

"The same" He says.

it's a bit odd to be served by a sidhe, even a childling.

But the boy does it well. Setting two hot coffees done just the way each likes, down before them.

"Thanks." She says again.

"You're welcome, A moment, we have plenty of food. Would you like a full meal, or maybe just a slice of pumpkin pie? Or bread?"

Jess grins. "Kerri's pumpkin pie?"

"Oh yes, by the maestra herself" He smiles "I can make it too, but I don't pretend mine is as good."

"Can't beat Great Aunt Agnes' pumpkin pie" Coy says

The young Daireann stiffens at the thane's remark, "I assure you, none are better than my liege at pumpkin pie. And I shall prove it. Two slices one for each of you coming up." And in he goes.

Gone to the kitchen to fetch that pie

Coy looks amused, "Sorry, but I think we're going to have a feud"

She sips, and a faint smile crosses her face. "Rivervale coffee." then shakes her head "Great Aunt Agnes's has to be incredible.... but Kerri's is the best I've ever had."

"You should visit the farm more often, make some comparisions," he sips "This is good coffee though."

Jessica nods. "There's a chimera here that.... I think he helps.

"Good Chimera" he says

"Yes."

Then the Squire returns, setting down one plate with a piece for Jessica with a smile.

Then he puts down one for Coy with hairy eyeball

Then walks off.

Jess tastes hers, grins.

They don't have a chance to get more than a mouthful before Kerri comes in through the front door. "Jessica? Coy? Brogan messaged me that you were here. Is something wrong?" She frowns with concern.

Coy savors the pie, swallows, and rises, "It depends on your definition of wrong, Hearth Kerri. It would appear there's a new trod that has pretty much direct access between Fenix Hold and Rivervale lodge"

Kerri blinks. "There's a new trod?" She visibly relaxes and exhales. "Good. Not an invasion, no dragon attack. Already two degrees better than I expected. Also explains the weird kind of shift I just felt." She goes to where Jessica sits and wraps her shoulders in a quick hug. "Good to see you, Jessica. You too, Coy. Ah, and I see Brogan has put some food in front of you. I hope you like."

"It's quite good. I may have angered the young man by praising great aunt agnes' pumpkin pie over all though" Coy says "Family loyalty, you understand"
