Adam glances around, noting the room seems empty except for the two of them, and then she whispers.....

FLUTTERING...

"Zane taught me about the... the Gift of Pan, he called it" Adam murmurs back. "Believe me, you don't need to use it on me, Piper. I'm already there."

He kisses her shoulder.

She suddenly sits up away from Adam, though her lips were just about pressing against his ear, and almost falls back onto the floor, so quickly does she jerk back away from the mirror-flashing fluttering about her head. THUD

A yelp. "Oh, my TAIL!"

A mirror like butterfly drifts and shimmers reflections

"Woah!" As she nearly falls off his lap. "Hey....." He holds her more security. "You ok?"

Siv comes out 'hey, everything okay?"

She has three drinks

She stands, a hand pressing against Adam's shoulder, moving away with reluctance. "Oh, I just twisted something wrong I think... here, let me..." ANd she goes to grab her drink, taking a gulp before passing Adam his.

Siv says "Well, mom and the Hearth might have a word for me if you got injured while I was playing hostess"

He drinks thirstily, eyes on Piper.

Zane's eyes open again "mm?"

"Oh, Zu zu! You're okay!" She exclaims, before realizing what she said, and hand flying to cover her mouth. "Ooops."

"I was okay, then you let that slip. Why are you out to destroy my social standing?" Zane smiles weakly

"Zu Zu?" Siv fights a giggle

"Dunno, man, kinda suits you." Adam grins.

"Dude, do you know how many PETALS I got put in my locker every damn Winter at schools when that got out?" A groan "Stupid 'it's a wonderful life'"

Siv turns and says "Scuse me" She departs to the kitchen or somewhere...just for a moment

"Hey, you ok?" Adam asks Piper, concerned.

She turns back to Adam and gives him a smile. "Yeah, I'm okay. Today has just been a... a whole lot, you know? And you didn't even get a chance to tell me about your fight..."

"Zane, I'm sorry. I'm sure Siv won't tell anyone." She says, with absolutely no certainty.

"Oh, a couple different things came out of the, uh, the gate, but that last one was pretty nasty. See?" He shows off the scars on his legs.

Some very macho fang mark scars!

"It almost got Oak, too."

Oak is near the balefire, and wags his tail as his name is mentioned.

Adam grins at his battle buddy.

The dog gives a canine grin at Adam. Yup. They cool.

Those below may have heard the sounds of showering above. Regardless, Brekke eventually, finally, makes her way back downstairs. No longer in armor, but in far more familiar tunic and trews.

A few moments later, Frank emerges as well, his hair wet and slicked back.

Adam is hovering near Piper. Given the bikini, this is probably to no one's great surprise.

Siv gets her parents coffee

She looks remorsefully at her long-cold mug of coffee, then looks at the others in the room...and blinks at Piper's bikini. "Ah."

Not so cold for long

“Chieftain! Congratulations on vanquishing your foe.”

She settles in her chair by the balefire. "Thank you, Piper." She sips her coffee. "Oh, Siv, perfect." A grateful look.

"You're welcome, Mum" She smiles and looks to her dad "How's yours, dad?"

Frank is frowning as he takes his usual seat on the floor next to Brekke's chair so he can lean against the chair's front leg.

"Good. Thank you."

Brekke makes a brief gesture with the stump of her left hand, reaching towards Frank's horns...but then she seems to see the mangled silver, and stops. Instead she just sighs and leans back in her chair, taking another sip of coffee.

Seated as he is, Frank doesn't see this.

Her eyes boggle a little at the mangled hand, but she bites her tongue so that she doesn't blurt out anything.

"It can be repaired, right mom?" Siv says before thinking

Frank sets his coffee down.

"I do not know, yet. Sylvi's magics may do something, and I may ask Clem for assistance as well. But if not, I still count it a victory that I breathe."

Where did he come from? Somehow there is ALREADY a puppy curled up in Frank's lap. He must have been under the couch, or perhaps was sulking in a coat closet. His tail beats steady rhythym on the floor now, though.

Piper has to resist tapping a hoof along to the beat!

Siv nods "Clem's good." Calming herself, "Oh, I love the fact we can visit Jessica more easily now.. Even if it means I don't have an excuse to take that ship"

"Ah, there he is." Brekke says of the pup.
