Frank welcomes the puppy absently. His thoughts are far away.

"Mm." Brekke looks toward that new trod entry. "We must not abuse that convenience. Jessica sought independence. I would not take that from her.

"Where does the new trod lead?" She sits and leans back against Adam's legs, idly examining the new scars...

the door opens, and Jonas comes in "Connor? Are you..."

Thump THUMP thump thump THUMP goes the tail.

Then he sees where the boy is "Oh, sweet resolution I thought i had lost him"

Adam is JUST FINE with this examination.

"It goes to Fenix Freehold in Tijuana. Jessica's bar-...well, county, now."

Jonas nods, "Connor, in the future, when slipping away, could you inform me of your egress so I might not be overwhelmed by trepidation for your sake?" A smile, then he looks at Siv. "Siv."

"Jonas," Siv says, "Thanks for the ah.. help"

"Tijuana?!" She practically SQUEAKS. "In the sun? On the BEACH??"

"I can take orders with great diligence," He says.

Adam blinks at her enthusiasm.

Innocent puppy eyes up at the Troll, and he curls further into the lap.

Even Frank turns his head to look at Piper.

Siv blushes at something, and is relieved, to have an excuse "Right ..Indepenence... TJ... and yep the beach"

She just grins. "You nordic types, maybe you don't know how it is to feel this cold sinking into your very BONES.... Oh, I miss sun-warmed sand against my skin."

"Oh, me too." Fervently.

"Mm. Yes, the beach, and sun, and a great deal of mortal crime. If you would like to go, I will help arrange this, but you must be cautious."

"I fcan take her" Siv says

Jonas looks worried, "Siv i know you can take care of yourself but.."

"But i can take care of myself" She nods

A sly glance over at Jonas, and she shivers just a bit, leaning back against Adam's legs. Then looking back to Brekke, she nods, eagerly. "I would -very- much like that. I wonder... maybe we could do a beach trip with the wilders? If that's okay? Once everyone is all settled down, maybe."

Adam rests a hand on Piper's bare shoulder.

"But it's getting late now, and I bet you adventurers need to rest... hey, Siv, I wanted to show you the new instrument Tove gave me. It's in my bag back on the porch. And then Adam could give me a ride home, maybe?"

"Sure!!!" Immediately.

"Perhaps such a trip could be arranged." A dubious look. "Piper, use good judgment, please."

"Sure!" Siv says

She blinks over at Brekke, then exhales, and nods. ...."Maybe Adam can walk me to the edge of the trails, and Auntie M would pick me up?"

Brekke watches the wilders be wilders, and sips her coffee.

"No, I can drive you! Easy. It's cold out."

Jonas says "Chieftain, the DeBukes that were staying in the County have mostly returned"

Siv goes out to the porch

"Adam, you can get her safely home, correct?"

"Yes, absolutely, Chief."

She nods to Jonas. "I am glad we had shelter to offer them, but I am certain they are gladder to be able to return home so swiftly."

Piper stands and stretches, the chainmail shifting in interrsting ways, and she retrieves the spear. "It will be fun explaining this to the Wayburtons. Speara nd magic heeeelmet..." She hums with a grin.

Jonas nods "Well, some sort of clean up at the farm. I think it may have new chimera and such."

It is clear that some of that energy went there too

"Good. That is your responsibility. And Adam, come back again tomorrow. After work or school."

She hides a snicker, and adds innocently. "Bunnies. Lots of bunnies."

"Y... yes, Chief."

He seems puzzled by something, but Piper distracts him again and he grins.

"Mm." A nod to Jonas. "Likely."

She slips her hand into one of Adam's and gives him a tug. "C'mon, let's not tarry. My cold weather clothes went kaput when the Wave hit me, and this is FUN but not winter-worthy attire."

"Jonas, I think I heard Siv call for you?" She adds innocently as she pulls Adam to the porch, waving to the Chief and her Husband.

"Here...." He puts his coat around Piper, going with her to the porch.

Jonas tilts his head? "She did?" He moves out that way

Frank doesn't seem to notice the departures.

A sigh, watching them all file out, and she looks down at Frank. And the pup in his lap.
