Sylvi glances at the stairs, then contains a grin. "Gotcha. Okay...Oh, Emmit, what happened to your eye?"

"I think a dragon tried to eat my face, to put it bluntly" The Mountain says "I sure don't recall getting much wisdom ala Odin"

Arthek says "Don't let a dragon bite your head, seems like wisdom to me" the Hearth unseelie smirks

Jessica watches Emmit with concern.

She winces. "Okay...hang on, let me get some things together. Hearth Arthek, how badly are you hurt?"

"Your chieftain heatherbalmed the worse .. my chest looks like the discarded part of a shredded tire, but it's not bleeding. I'm good"

Emmit says "Easy folks... I can still see the sad looks with the good eye I do have. Clem can patch me most like, and if she can't? I call one lost eye as a price to take down the Giants bane a bargain"

"I'd still like to try. I'll be a few minutes." And she goes into the kitchen.

"Your daughter" Emmit says to Kerri and Olgar "is a strong willed young woman with definite ideas on how things should be done"

"That she is," Kerri sighs. "We raised her that way, and now we're reaping the rewards." Her tone is more than a little wry.

In the kitchen, a kettle sings.

"Mostly her side though" Olgar says

"Adam, you okay?" Siv says . The boy seems frozen and either didn't hear her or didn't want to answer when she asked how things went.

"Yeah, fine."

Tiffany says "I'm heading back to the damsel... oh... Siv, don't tell anyone because I won't but Oak totally fought a Lindnorm whose breath would be nearly instant death to anyone over 6 feet"

Siv blinks "But Adam was with Oak and.. OOO.."

"Yeah, there was a thing but.... it wasn't a big deal."

"Well, I think it was a big deal." Siv says "And I think , in the story books, there's a woman's right to give a bit of a reward for that if she so wishes, gratitude as it were. Dagmar's not here, or she'd do it proper I'm sure. But here..." And Siv kisses Adam on the cheek from the side.

"Uh. Thanks." Nonplussed.

Sylvi comes in, humming "Tea for Two" and wearing an expression of concentration. The steaming cups put before the injured ones have lotus blossoms floating in them, opening as they're exposed to the moisture and heat. Sylvi gestures for them to sip while she keeps humming.

"Thank you, young lady" Emmit says taking a cup.

Arthek takes it, "Glory to your lodge and many fortune favors"

Glamour shimmers in the tea itself.

Jessica watches with quiet concern.

And Emmit sips it slowly

Siv says "Dont mention it."

Sylvi keeps humming and watching both of them closely.

Emmit touches his eye and removes thewrap. His eye is there... looking ..better, the gash is gone, and color has returned

But it still doesn't seem to move.

"Better eh?" Approving Emmit nods "thank you young lady"

Sylvi stops humming and instead bites her lip. "Emmit...I can try again...?"

"Sometimes, there's a cost." Jessica says quietly.

"I guess." Sylvi looks disappointed and embarrassed, and Kerri moves to put an arm around her shoulders.

"Jessica's right, Sylvi." Emmit says "This isn't a failure on your part by the way, you just undid much by a great wyrm. Something even your Chief's heather balm couldn't do. That's no small thing and nothing to be ashamed of. Omens and visions spoke of loss. Well , if this is it, it's a blessing."

Jessica nods soberly.

Arthek finishes his tea, and says "Damn, it may not regrow eyes, but I can breath free and clear again. I wasn't going to whine, but that hurt worse than I was admitting, and now... right as rain."

Sylvi's smile returns a bit. "Okay. Well, good, I'm glad it helped. Oh...we, all of us, brought some things back for you. Do you want to see?"

"I've been nosing around like an hog in a mushroom patch, yes I want to see " Emmit says

A little laugh, and she brings the rocking chair forward. "This is for you, Mountain Emmit. I hope it's okay?"

"I... good lord I don't know what to.." He chokes a little, "Do you know what this is? It's a dream chair... the wisdom it can provide... oh I can't take this"

"Oh for..Seelie make my teeth hurt," Arthek says "Take the damn thing. It's clear she had you in mind, Mountain"

She blinks. "It was the right choice, then?" Relieved.

Olgar snorts "you too huh?"

"Heart Arthek, this is yours." She indicates the anvil, but doesn't try to bring it over. "At least I'm pretty sure we brought it back for you. Some things are kind of fuzzy in my head."

"It's perfect" Mountain Emmit says

Arthek moves to it, and whistles "Any hold could use this. Even a decent smith can work wonders."

HE nods "I'll certainly take it. Curious as to why the generousity though"

"Oh...that's right, you don't know what we did! We raided Skallstryke's hoard while you were fighting him! This is some of what we got from it. We figured it was only right that we bring home things for The Three."

"They're the reason the dragon got weaker!" Siv bursts "Oh GOD I've been holding that in!"
