Dag looks for a route - does the alley dead end? Is there a fire escape?

Yes! It will take a jump but there is!

And Symon hears "What was that?

"Thanks!" She pants, and makes a go for the ladder - it helps to be tall!

He grabs it, with his tongue if needed to keep his hands free, as he skitters spider-like up the wall, searching for a new exit out!

And up Dagmar goes!

Climbing up!

SYMON slips out.. and something grabs at his foot... "You mine, boy!"

But.. he slips from that grab too and is outside!

And the window behind him shatters! As another vampire, a lot prettier.. comes out after him

Dagmar hears sniffing.. and.. confusion!

sometimes, planning preparedness pays!

Dagmar climbs to a landing and pulls on the ladder - hopefully out of reach for those below!

SYMON 's Vampire bears fangs as he climbs down the wall

He digs out and Snaps the finger bone, releasing any glamour in the dross as he calls up shadows to do a Lovecraft kitty move; Make Yourself Look Big

He hisses threateningly and still scrambles to get further away

Symon feels dark glamour.. hate kill muder...and his shadows writh and lash out

And then suddenly Lovecraft is there spilling something on the vampire "Chicken BURNS!"

And DAGMAR sees Symon scrambling...huge! or is that just the shadows about him?

And a vampire drenched in grease following!

"Sy!" She grabs her baseball bat. A pause, and then she cracks it over her knee. "Hey, Buffy-style."

Dagmar now has a pointy stick!

The vampire says "Los Ombra?" or something like that..

Lovecraft says "BURN the chicken!"

Symon feels a bit sick, powerful but sick

"Back the fuck off, fangboy!"

Symon pulls up the shadows around him like a Shroud - NO, like a CAPE. He wills his stature to lengthen, to be larger than he is, a looming Dracular shaped figure as he draws the Vampire's attention to him! "What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets!"

The Vampire hisses "Sombra!" And leaps at him

"Frost-bite not fang bites! Feel the icy teeth of Wotan's might!"

Shadows blind.. Ice Freezes.. and the grease on the creature already seeped into the skin, freezes fasta nd spreads it.. the Vampire falls from the all, shatters on the ground .. into two pieces of surprised Lick

Lovecraft hisses annoyed at something

And symon...faints... as the tainted glamour now spent out of him seems to leave him.. dizzy

this is bad.. as he's falling

and unlike the vampire, we don't want him in pieces

sluurrrrpp..... his fingers peel off the wall one by one with little suction cup noises

pop pop pop pop.... slump

Dag grunts and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s to snag him.

And TEEEEEY, which is a reverse Yeet , you catch right? Not her strong point but she's got him

She staggers back on the platform, holding him. "Well, guess I didn't need to break the baseball bat. Damn."

Lovecraft STOMPS past, as much as a feline does. Hisses at them both, and keeps walking

In the distance, a mad howl

Symon is dead weight. But... not dead, so good!

She looks down below - is the coast clear?

And a voice says "Has he got it? My phlactry?"

"Lemmie check..." She searches pockets.

An ominous vial with something in it... and a piece of map!

And a wooden D20 that SOMEONE carved for him. In his pocket like a lucky charm.

A smile. That is returned.

"The vial. I think that's it"

"Yeah,vgot it."
