A large Buffalo pooka, the jester they saw earlier, moves by making 'chugga chugga chooo choo' sounds and keeps on going

And the smooch is interrupted with giggles.

Adam snickers too.

"Piper? Congratulations" A voice, familiar to piper, strange to adam, speaks

She pauses, still in Adam's arms, and searches for the voice as she turns - and halfway spun around to look, she stiffens, maybe not visibly, but her beau can feel it. "Itosius? I - didn't know you would be here."

Itosius smiles, "Now now, you know I'm where ever the party is" His eyes sparkle.

The Dark haired fellow's garments maybe black, but the cloak behind him flutters crimson with the Silver Fiona lion

Her mortal's eyes grow wide, and he grins slowly.

Piper exhales and - damn, he's handsome, it's hard to remember what she was thinking. Still, she gives him an expression he may not often see on a lady addressing him - a frown. And she says, in a rather pointed tone, "Shouldn't you be off somewhere... courting someone?"

Then puzzled, and he catches Piper's vibe.

"Oh, Piper Piper Piper" he sighs "You know a little enlightened Self interest is part and parcel of the courts. I mean, you can't tell me you haven't gained by allying yourself with..where is it? Rivervale? Where is that anyway?"

"New Jersey." A frown. "And I haven't... that's to say, I'm not..." And she fumbles a bit. Why is even his voice so pretty? And she tries another tact. "That's not why I'm there. They're good people, and friends."

"Jersey?" His gorgeous face makes an expression of distaste that is somehow still radiant, "Piper, I'm so sorry to hear that. Still, I'm glad you have good people at least. I mean, after all, who better than I know what a people pleaser you are." He takes her hand "Why don't you and I walk walk for a bit, then sit down and have some delicious chocolate pie. " His eyes change three different shades like a shimmering like in the sun "I've always enjoyed having pie and ...talk with you"

Adam.... doesn't really do anything; this will be her choice.

Her cheeks heat up a little - traitorous things, as she tears her gaze away from those eyes, like the sea under the sunset.

"I..." She reaches back, for Adam's hand. "I'm here with someone. This is my boyfriend, Adam. And isn't there someone you should be checking in with? I didn't see... what was her name. Lady Cilia? Cirilla?"

Adam nods. "Sir." Figuring that can't be far off.

"Cyrilla..." as if some how the y with an i sound still had the slightest tweak "And you were right about her, she proved to be too staid, too pristine. She lacked your sizzle" Itosius shakes his head "And you certainly sizzled tonight. I swear your talent has only grown. Then again, I always did love the sound of your voice in passion." A glance to Adam, "Nice to meet you, Aaron"

Then his eyes return to Piper "What say, walk, talk, pie?"

"Adam." He corrects.

"Right right" Itosius says but eyes still on her.

"I don't want any pie you're peddling. Your chance with this sizzle, fizzled, when you dropped me like yesterday's garbage at the prospect of a better match. Did you even WANT me to be at that fete? Or care that I traveled there on your invitation and was stranded when you went off... off sniffing at tail too high-bred to even look your way?" She snaps, her passion showing a bit of sizzle right there.

"Oh now, don't be that way, Butterscotch," A name she hasn't heard in a long time, "What about the good times? Remember , the bridge at sunset? Or how about that sorority party we crashed?"

Adam straightens up. "I think the lady said no."

"This doesn't really concern you, Adler" He says with a tut

"I'm here with her, so it does."

"Bit controlling, isn't he?" Itosius looks at her, "Come dear, let's go relieve the good times as only two kithain can do. I've learned new uses for cantrips you'll delight in"

She glances back at Adam, and squeezes his hand. "You heard me, I'm not interested." Her eyes flash, but it's clear she's trying to keep her temper down. "A Real gentleman - or lady - sticks by who they came with. Maybe you need to go back to your classes. A few more lessons and maybe you'd know the difference between "titled" and "EN titled."

Adam squeezes her hand back and moves to put himself between the jerk and Piper, his back to the jerk. He offers Piper his arm. "Shall we?"

His own eyes spark for a second, then "Well, Butterscotch has gotten a bit bitter. Pity. Fine fine.. go enjoy your pet Andy there." He turns "What a waste" and walks off

Another voice speaks up "Ladies and gents, the Countess is ready to speak so please take your seats or spots, refill your drinks fast, and .. here she is"

"His name is ADAM!" She snaps after him. "You... no account, mangy, alley-cat excuse for a..." She bites her tongue, remembering that she is a GUEST in someone else's home, and her words are drowned out by the announcement.

And she just stomps a hoof, angrily.

"he gets Gonorrhea next month after a drunk bait and switch gone wrong" A voice says

"Itosius..... sounds like a skin condition." Adam says to Piper.

She looks for the source of the voice. "Like a nasty rash that won't go away..."

"C'mon, you want to hear these announcements, even if you don't want the position." Adam says comfortingly.

It's Tonto, with a Beaumayn symbol hanging from his shoulder like a badge of honor. He looks utterly dream state

Dame Ash walks up, and takes her cloak with house symbol on it back from Tonto "Give me that."

Tonto looks contrite and digs his toe in the ground

She blinks. And blinks again. And a bit of a laugh escapes.

"I couldn't wish it on a worthier person."

Adam grins, but he's watching her with some worry.

Her gaze follows after where Itosius pranced majestically - no, sulked off to.

And Jessica is dragged by her hair escorted back to the main area to make that announcement

Adam stays near Piper for comfort, but not interfering.

Jess takes the dais again, and clears her throat. "Thank you all for coming tonight. I understand folks had a good time?" She asks of the crowd.

Cheers abound!

And yes, after a post ice cream nap, the childlings are back, they've been given an upraised spot so they can see things easily
