Cheers break out. And quite a few nockers whistle. He's one of them.

Piper claps as well for Elias, and watches with interest to see who won first prize.

"Will Neema and Bevera please step forward?"

The two women move forward as one. Bevera drawing eyes with the allure of her kith, the poise and power in it. The Selkie does not move as gracefully as she would in the water, but oh, she still has a mix of dignity and playfulness in her steps.

Ariel whispers "Salma. I think one of your favorites made it"

"Congratulations. I would like to offer -both- of you a position as troubadour here in the court of the County of Renaissance."

The mute satyr has been applauding everyone. But he gazes in amazement at whatever is on the scroll that was part of his prize. Indeed, he looks almost moved to tears.

"I would be honored to serve you as one of your Troubadours," Dame Bevera says in a complex crossing the legs bow that looks.. rather elegant

"As would I," Neema says with a tilt of her head, and a bow now as deep but not out of disrespect, but because she can't match that

Salma whispers to Ariel, "You were the best one there. And I'm glad you're just for us." Giving the little satyr a hug.

Jessica nods back. "Welcome."

"People of Renaissance, honored guests..... your new Troubadours of Renaissance."

Ariel blushes and hugs back

And Neema and Bevera bow low together to the crowd!

Who cheer wildly! While some might have had their favorites, none can deny that the two ladies who won out are worthy of any court in the land.

(And I would imagine Tweak is QUICKLY at Elias's side....)

(Indeed, for she may have to beat Tidemarch to him but I'll say she's very dangerous over short distances)

Holger seeing this , looks over at Ariel . Something doesn't seem QUITE fair here. But...

Ahpuch whispers something DIRECTLY in his ear. he has to.

Then Holger nods, "Pardon" he grabs Ariel... and then puts her up on her shoulders so all the Childlings, and some adults can see "Nueva Troubadoura!"

Piper catches sight of this and calls out a cheer! "To the youngest of us all, may she not grow up too fast, as we can't stand the competition!"

Cheers and laughter combine

"All THREE of Renaissance's new Troubadours!!!" Jessica corrects herself.

"IOWA PRIDE!" THree guesses which crew whoops there

Ariel beams happily! Feeling more like a princess than she ever has before

and she evern does the hand wavey thing just like Ellie showed her!

Ellie cheers!

Piper clips over to Ariel (high on Holger's shoulders - she is now taller than Piper!) And bows to her. "Your song was special, I think it was the only original composition of the night." and offers her... the pool noodles! "You live by the ocean, please, take this. They may suit you well..." A small grin. "As soon as those horns come in."

(Many people are taller than Piper....)

(Shush!)

"But you worked so hard for these" Ariel says

even as she latches onto them. Her mouth remembered to be polite at least

"Tell you what. Maybe I can borrow them when I come visit." A wink. "And I got TWINKIES."

"Ooo. okay!" She says

Money is being exchanged. Bets are settled

A grin, and she reaches up to balance the noodle pieces amidst Ariel's hair, held up by paper crown. "There you are, a magnificent set."

Bevera and Neema whisper to each other, then Bevera says "Your excellency, permission to perform as your Troubadours?"

The troll nods. "Granted." She raises her voice. "Your Troubadours are ready to entertain you! FIESTA!"

And the two...motion to Ariel... and start off showing her La Bamba!

which maybe an old chestnut, but can be picked up on...and a lot of folks can at least fake it!

And is there Singing? Si! Is there Dancing? Si! is there Cake? Si! Is much happiness? Si!

Is there a missing troll after a while? Yes. When things are humming along, Jessica ghosts out.

Nancy seems to be a lightning rod for the party going. So Jessica's vanishing escapes all but a few sets of eyes

Vaeltilde is drug out to the floor for dancing, too!

Vaeltilde protests at first "But i do not know this type of dance... I've been learning ballet.. I don't..what if I look foolish?"

Salma whirls past Vaeltilde, and stomps her feet, clapping her hands, and not really on the beat either. A small wink back to the other girl - how could she possibly look foolish, next to that?

Spin, spin, stomp stomp - Dizzy! Clap-clap-clap-clap!
