Piper focuses on Jessica, the countess.. but she can't help scanning the crowd. Watching - looking for that sidhe.

Itosius seems to be scanning the crowd, but otherwise is looking forward to the announcement

Jessica nods. "Good. I'm glad. My congratulations to all our contestants. I have heard nothing but good from everyone I've spoken with. Your skills and passion are clear, and we have been honored tonight with your talents. Thank you."

The troubadours beam

"I feel it is appropriate to acknowledge, first, honorable mentions for those who came here for the music, the challenge of the contest.... for the food and the drink, no doubt..... and the prizes, of course."

The crowd grows excited, heads bob and nod

"Spencer DeBuke and Piper McCormick, please step forward."

Piper blinks, not having expected to be mentioned - or perhaps, not first, even jointly, and steps forward, moving to stand alongside Spencer. A small grin over to him.

Spencer steps forward, taking off his 'newsies' hat respectful like

Then a slight smile at Piper from him

"We love you Spencer!" Some wilder girls cry from the sides!

"For our honorable mentions, in addition to the gratitude in tangible form you'll find in your new hats, I have..... thank you, um, Tonto.... these... snack packs with... oh look twinkies. And ... this... pair of shoes. Really? Are you.... ok, these shoes...."

"...and the pool noodles of shame.... Tonto, are you kidding me??"

"Ah." She eyes the shoes, but puts on a smile. "My lady is... most gracious. Spencer, those shoes are ALL you. I mean, they are just your color."

"....and my thanks."

And at the pool noodles, she can't help but laugh aloud - and yes, puts them on her horns. A bow - oh, one fell off. Retrieved, and back on. "I shall wear them with pride."

"I guess you get the twinkes" He says and takes the shoes "THank you, Countess."

A grin over to Spencer, and she trots back to Adam, looking in a much improved mood. A whisper to the kinain, "Tell Zane, and I'll end you." And smooches her fingertips to pat a kiss onto his cheek.

Spencer takes his shoes off, and puts on the gift shoes!

"He's undressing..." Some girl says, setting others off

Salma covers her eyes! And then peeks through a finger...

Spencer is surprised the shoes seem to fit, and he bows to all then strides off

Ariel elbow bumps Ellie and Salma "Those shoes are silly"

"Very! But what about the purse?"

Spencer sees Clem, and holds up his Snackpack to show to her and makes a victory sign

Clem rolls her eyes

"In third place, Kinain Phoebe." She gestures the girl forward.

Piper frowns a little, she had been hoping to see her win the tournament, but she claps heartily.

PHoebe takes a breath and steps forward, then curtseys very low , her dress looking radiant. Her sidhe blood seeming to carry her through any bout of nerves

A soft sigh.

Ariel says "oh." sort of sad for her

Jessica nods in return.

"Phoebe, I present you with this purse of dross and mortal riches, and .... thank you.... this painting by a Kithain artist who is just establishing himself."

She takes it both, then gazes at the painting "It's beautiful. Thank you, Countess."

"..... What? .... oh, and this... towel." She sounds puzzled. ".... of hitchhiking?"

"Oh" She says taking it . Confused but pleased.

"Thank you for sharing your talent with us, and congratulations."

"I give a lot of credit to the childlings, your excellency. They believed in me even when i didn't" She says softly yet with gratitude that carries.

And then she backs away

Applause breaks out, cheers.

"In second place, Elias Hazard."

Elias Hazard comes forward. There's a thump sound as he does like Drumbeats... it would appear its his shoes.

"Elias, to you, this purse of dross and mortal riches, and set of glasses; I'm told they can be used to make music."

"HEY.. I can use that!" He grins.

"..... and..... really? And this belt to go with your purse? Tonto are you.... ok, ok....."

(It's a perfectly ordinary looking belt. When worn -without- pants, no one will be the wiser; the wearer will -appear- to be wearing pants even if he isn't, as long as he's wearing the belt. Sluagh, however, are not effected.)
