"I was wondering" Ash admits

Donnelle sighs "It's interesting. How long that is going to last we dont know. I will say the influence in attitude is more interesting.. .a lot of creaitivity around here"

"Well. That's something."

"Are you sure you don't want something to eat or drink while you wait? "

"Thank you. Some water?"

She bows, "And you, Dame Ash?"

"Dame?" To the Gwydion.

"Water is fine" The Beaumayn says "Thank you"

And Dame Donnelle ap Gwydion heads off to get two waters.

Jessica takes a breath, watching Shuri.

Dame Ash looks over at The troll, "Dame Donnelle seems to be a good woman. "

A nod.

Shuri has laid out her boxes close and is currently fitting in one happily

Jessica takes a moment here to settle in this new place, to feel it.....

In some ways, it's easier when she's at her own hold, where the connections are centralized- and yet she can feel it. Pride. Oh this hold is proud. And the cantrip in place has folks speaking up when they get ideas, encouraging them to think non linear

Not something Jessica is conversant, familiar with; pride. she works, she knows she is good at what she does... but pride?

Details of what kind of pride elude... but maybe the hold itself is learning from Tweak what to take pride in.

Jessica supports this.

And two glasses of water.

The Gwydion comes forward with them, "Sorry about the wait...the plumbing seemed to be confused for a moment"

"Um. Confused?"

"I wanted cold water, it shot out Ice. "

"Oh.... ok, so... still settling in."

"Technically it's not wrong" Ash takes her glass, "Thank you"

Donnelle sighs, "Yes."

"You have seen many changes here, Dame Donnelle."

"Yes," She says "Would that I had the courage to witness them sooner" The wilder says

"Dame, if you decide to move on from here.... I hope you will stop by Fenix."

"I.." Dame Donelle looks startled, "Thank you, Countess. Mama Captaz is not what I'm used to, but ...this barony is where I need to do my atonement"

The grandame raises a brow at the wilder's lament.

Jessica clears her throat. "Um. What?"

"I should have told my liege, my former liege," Dame Donnelle ap Gwydion says "That his actions were not just risking his honor, but unjust to his people. I should have stood between he and they and drew his wrath on myself instead of letting them face it." The freckled falcon looks suddenly younger, like a lost teenage girl rather than a heroine of the Dream, "I failed to do so. I failed House Gwydion, and the people of this barony. I owe them good service now to make amends for what I failed to do then."

Jessica takes in a breath.

Exhales slowly.

"Dame.... you know who my family is?"

"Yes. Your mother is a legend in the House," The young Gwydion says

She nods. "I would honor your Oath to your House. Summerstryke was mad, or a monster.... and I hope he was mad. Do you understand?"

"I'm not sure I do," She says "You are ..trying to enlist my aid directly as YOUR knight rather than Tweak's?"

"No. If you are ... um, to remain here and you are content to stay then I am as well. But if you wish to leave here.... I hope you will visit Fenix and talk with me. I think you can do much good here."

"Thank you. but it's not about contentment, it's about repaying my debt to the people of this barony." She nods "If Mama Capataz dismisses me I'll consider it, and ... I may yet visit, of course." Donnelle says

"You will be welcome."

A nod, almost troll like from the Gwydion wilder sidhe

The Beaumayn Grump Sidhe seems to be lost as she gazes on Shuri, and she breaks into a smile

Jessica looks to see why.

Nothing she can see besides Shuri being adorable

Jessica drinks her water, saying nothing.

Ash seems to come back to awareness, but the smile stays intact. "My goodness. Jessica, am I going to end up being the chatty one?"

"Perhaps. Trolls are stoic. And, I have brought Shuri home. And, to a guardian. Dame Donnelle.... the charge is yours."
