A knock on her door

"Mmph?"

"As disgusted as I am to say it," Diego says "I fear you have more knights here"

"Diego?" She startled awake and pulls on a robe as she gets the door.

Diego is there "Sorry to wake you, but ah manners"

Hair mostly regrown at legs, kind of a shaved look to the head like some hollywood guys do for a reverse comb over

"Ok. Let me get dressed, we'll meet at the Balefire... and thank you, Diego."

"You're welcome. I realkize that with Mitra gone, folks seem to think I'm your right hand here. What dire straits for us both"

"Do you want to be?" Seriously.

"I... would need to think about that, Jessica. But thank you for the offer."

Jess nods. "Do think about it, Diego. I'll be out shortly."

And after a quick shower and pulling on good voile, she makes good on that.

She notices her wardrobe has been incrreased, not just that new tabard, but fancy gowns, more ornate breaches... the works

but her regular standbys are also there, thank goodness

As much as she'd like to.... she opts for something more upscale, although not at the TOP of the scale.

There's one outfit that says outdoorswoman noble, not just stylish, but one could hunt or hike in it...yet still could be courtly. It's a bit what her mom might wear, except for the hat with the feather

Feathers can be removed.... and after doing so, she goes with that one.

And out she goes. She finds not one, but three knights awaiting her. A stoic male troll wearing Liam colors, a female satyress in black and silver, and sidhe fellow in Fiona garb.

She nods. "I'm Jessica King. Thank you for coming. Please, let's sit down."

They do. "Sir Hacket ap Fiona, a pleasure" the Sidhe says. /"Dame Thessaly ap Eiluned," The satyress says/The troll grunts "Sir Brand."

Jessica nods acknowledgement to each. "Am I right in assuming Duke Tierone sent you all?"

"No." Sir Brand says, "But he did suggest you might be open. I was not sent though."

Sir Hacket smiles, "His grace thought House Fiona might have an interest in more representation in the County given that, before the lady balor, we had ties to this hold. Of course, I understand Sir Buce has been a devoted Lion and knight to you and is a member."

"Sure, let's go with that," The satyress smiles

Jessica tilts her head to the satyress. "I appreciate your House, Lady, but I do need to know."

"Mmmph well, as it is our first day I'll try to keep Eiluned humor on a downlow ... While House Eiluned pressed for a few knights to come here, I am mostly here because of a mutal friend. She thought you might need help and 'Eiluned sense'"

Jessica nods slowly. "Thank you."

"I will admit that your Houses predispose me to ask you to stay... but as I have not said yes to any new knights, and have to speak with internal candidates, forgive me if I hold off. You are all welcome to stay, of course. You will want to know if Renaissance suits you, as well as if you suit Renaissance."

"Fine by me, I can go errant if need be," Sir Hacket says, "Trusting I won't be banished even if I'm not taken in."

"Of course not." she assures "Not -just- for that."

Sir Brand nods, "I am unsure myself.But thought I would get to know the place. Time is best for both of us."

Jessica nods agreement.

"Well, you two are awfully magnanimous, " Thessaly says "Me I feel a pout coming on."

-She- gets an eyebrow.

"Apologies, your grace. I was told at times you were quite informal and indeed would prefer to be called by your first name. I tend to be a bit hoof loose and fancy free unless I know formalties have been declared"

"Fair enough.... and yes, I do prefer to keep things informal, when there's no company. But for the purposes of this interview, less pooka would be good. Avoid misunderstandings from the start."

"'Pooka'?" The satyress says "ouch. Noted, your excellency."

A sigh. "Jessica's fine. Just, as much as you can, straight answers." kindly.

"Have you more questions, your excellency? For us?"" Hacket asks

"I'd like to speak with each of you alone, get to know more about you and let you know more about me. As you no doubt have realized, I'm... a little different to many in this position."

Brand just nods.

Hacket says "Of course, who would you like to talk to first? the other two can dine on grapes, eye the lovely ladies and gents here and so on"

".... Or take a tour with .... um..... Diego, I guess."

"Who is Diego?" The satyress says "Your Chatalaine?"

"Oh, wait, Diego? the rebel steward?" She says

"No... one of my closest advisors. And a Kithmate of yours. Yes."

"Yes. I've heard he's cute," The satyress says "And... a anti-royalist. Interesting contrast."
