but again, it could be her imagination.

"I know." Softly.

Images play in the fire... an eye opening.... a bridge opening over a chasm....and a peacock feather drawing from an ink well but rather than ink, it's blood...

"You must really be tired" Mitra's voice says

And Jessica realizes she was a sleep. she had nodded off

She jolts up out of what was, really, starting to be a nightmare. She actually ends up on her feet before she's fully awake, reaching for her maul.

"Chapulleh?" Mitra says the title sensing something serious is going on

"What!?!?!?"

"You're grabbing your maul like you're expecting Balor Redeye to come through the door and eat you, that's what" Dame Mitra says

Jessica sits up and wipes her eyes and face. "Sorry."

"Apology accepted, but curiousity continues. You woke up like that, must have been a heck of a dream"

She wipes her face again, this time with two hands. "Balor's not too far off."

"You want coffee?" She's not the sort to fetch drinks normally but for a friend and liege will

"Thanks."

She pauses to collect herself.

Mitra may not do coffee often, but she knows how Jessica likes it, and soon a strong cup is handed over "Careful, bit on the hot side"

"Thanks." She sets it aside to cool.

"Yeah. Bad dream. I didn't realize I'd fallen asleep, I didn't think I was that tired....."

"Well, you've been hustling a lot, though hard to say if it is more so than normal."

She touches the coffee, testing it.

"Yeah."

She tests a sip. "Probably going over to the Pit tonight."

Pretty good.. blow on it once and it'll be perfect

"Mmm any reason?"

She blows on it. "Been a while."

"Fair. No bad reports from that I've heard"

She nods; the observant might see she is distracted.

She drinks her coffee like it's a job.

"I'm observant, so I can see you're distracted," Mitra says , then blinks unsure why she worded it that way.

"Just... I'm going to call my mom. 'Scuse me."

"Of course." Mitra says

She goes and makes the call.... returns looking even more grave.

She settles by the 'Fire.

Mitra watches then, "Permision to bug the phones here? It would save me time"

"Can you ward us somehow, so we won't be heard or observed?" quietly.

Her brow shoots up, then a nod and she pulls out a small treasure she has used only one or two times before. It looks like a perfume bottle, empty, and yet when she opens it, a sweet scent comes out and there's a sense of a fog

"Should be good now, for at least ten minutes"

Jessica succinctly relates most of the RV details.

Mitra ponders, "So on top of things, you may have a spy in the area meaning your family ill."

"In the area of Rivervale, or here?"

"Both from what you tell me. That is if this lady has sense enough to work mutlple angles."

Jessica's jaw clenches. "Great."

"Then again, I am an Eiluned. I'm told we tend to think in tangled ways. Maybe not. Still, if you don't mind I'd like to sniff around for that possibility? In my free time? "

"Please."

"Happy too"

"Now, as you hadn't thought of that, I can only assume you're worrying for your folks. Which makes sense."

"A reason, not an excuse. Ok." She takes a deep breath. "Need to know if Leanhuan or Balor are trying anything. Do you know where Tito Woden is right now?"

"Damn, I need Dieg.... I need to visit the FyreMare -and- talk to Diego."

"Tito-Woden is on a date but we have his number."

"He's.... with who?"
