The Hold phone rings.

Mitra picks up "Mitra"

"Mitra, Jessica. I need to speak to Tweak, please."

"THAT I did not see coming. I am now made of questions. A moment."

(pause)

After several moments, Jessica can hear stomping and grumbling approach, and then a voice too loud in the receiver. "B! What th'fuck! I was in th' goddam middle of shit! Whatchoo want?"

"Can you come north to Rivervale? It is important." quietly.

"What, Rigger's place near th' Rotten Apple? But...but...Aw, c'mon, B, I got shit t'do!"

"We'll pay."

"....yeah?"

"Yes."

Her next words are directed away from the phone. "Crawly! You on baby duty! I gotta 'mergency gig!" Then back to the phone. "Meetcha there. Stock up on Monster drinks."

"the fuk? You feed her the bean juice thing and then you run? YOU COLD woman! You SO damn cold!"

...and the line goes dead.

Jessica blinks at the reciever and then hangs up to head back to her folks.
