"Mm " he ponders "How's your pitching arm?"

"Ok? I mean.... basketball not base ball but I can pass? Mostly I take it to the hoop."

"Trying to decide between busting a mailbox or a stone through the window" He ponders "Then let your self get spoted and hopes he chases"

"Both!" Excited. "I can do both out loud and then lead them away!"

"You understand you have to lead them away, not just lose them. This could be dangerous"

"Oh. Where do you want them to end up?"

"Two blocks away?"

"Ok!"

And off he goes, throwing a few stones to be sure of getting the 'right' attention.

A shattering window... and a voice "What the fu..."

A few more rocks, then.....

And that gets them, two figures come out, pissed off!

Adam adds a few choice words entreatiing them, and their parents, to follow him!

They chase after, full tilt.. and gain...but not too much

Adam laughs with exhilaration, and out runs them.

Not a satyr's speed, no, but an athlete's. He teases and taunts, questions their personal relationships, and RUNS.......

Anything to give Sir Magnus more time.

"PUnk ass.. you knnow who we are..."

"COME GET ME!"

They chase, and not only does he lead them on a merry chase. One guy calls out "Shit.. muscle cramp"

"YOU SUCK!!" Adam spurts ahead.

"FUTHER MUCKERS!!!"

And then? Police sounds

sirens.

Oh, Adam might have a bit of knowhow to avoid, that, too.

Adam soon gets a call from Magnus on his phone

Safe, and laughing, Adam answers. "Sir?"

"Congrats, Adam, the girls are safe. POlice are taking them now. I'm rather pleased with you. And you'll be getting a drink on me."

"They're ok? Awesome." Out of breath "I don't need a reward, Sir."

"It's a drink, Adam, not a bounty or even a medal. I'll have one too. We both did great"

"Ok. Where do I meet you?"

"Tell me where you are I'll pick you up in the car"

Adam looks around and tells Sir Magnus where he is.

Soon enough, the car pulls up "Get in" Magnus says "The police have some paper work for me later"

Adam jumps in.

"We're good?"

"More importantly, Adam, the girls are good. " A smile . The sidhe looks triumphant

"Yeah!" He grins.

"Can we do some more?"

"Absolutely... " And they head back to Earth Runes and he gets toh elp with the paperwork

"Paperwork?" Disappointed it's not more exciting.

"You wanted to do more, this is more?"

"Yeah, ok. I guess."

And Adam learns the less exciting side of working Private investigations

But really, it's not that bad. Adam is easily able to handle the boring parts.

And after that "Adam, you've done well. That drink... for us both"

"Sure....!" He trails after Sir Magnus hopfully.

Magnus gets the Tavern.

And the boast is on, as he tells Jack the story, and Sir Bachdion is there as well as is Rollo

"So Adam here... insults the guy's MOTHER I think... I could hear him from inside.. it was HILARIOUSLY bad taste... but while running? Damn impressive"
