Adam PERKS.

(And drinks)

"Hand it to me, " Sir Bachdion says "You know me, I enjoy buckling my swash"

Innish sighs "I suppose so.. " He hands over the request

"Very lovely" Bachdion nods approvingly as he looks at it

"Can I go with you, Sir?"

Adam hops off the barstool, ready.

"Adam, you forget. You have hawks to watch ... besides, you wouldn't be interested in..." He shows

"No no. I'll handle this. That poor girl clearly needs a shoulder to lean on" Bachdion looks over the drawing

then puts the scroll away

The boy's jaw drops.....

"Uh."

Adam sits back on his seat. "Wow. I mean.... if Sir Seirgi can let me go.... I mean, that's -wrong-...."

"SO wrong" A nod from Sir Bachdion "And as a gent, i must stop the wrongness and let her do right with whoever she'd prefer"

"Can I help?" Sincere.

"Let' go ask Sir Sergei and find out.."

And off they go

Adam follows Sir Bachdion eagerly.

Sir Sergei gets the news and frowns "My assistant is off galavanting about rescuing a damsel when you can handle it?"

"He'll assist me and learn is the idea" Sir Bachdion says

The Varich says "The birds require tending, and are fond of him. A change of their patterns will upset them"

"I'm sorry, Sir. I'll take care of them." Adam agrees, but his real desire is palpable.

Sir Bachdion pats the lad on on the shoulder "Ah, another time then perhaps, Adam? There are always Damsels either in distress, causing distress, or ending distress for others."

"Yes, Sir." He tries not to appear too mournful.

And he goes about care-taking the birds. It's not that he's upset or angry at them.......he cares for them, too.

And with that, The Satyr knight bows and departs.

The birds are happy to see him, he thinks. Some more affectionate than others. They are amazing mind you

Adam dutifully feeds and attends the birds. They -are- amazing..... but he can't help think of damsels that might need him.

And Sir Sergei seems to approve of Adam doing his duty, but does say "keep your focus on where you are, Adam"

"Yes, Sir." And he tries.

And it works, for a time, when Sir Sergei gets a message "Pardon me, Adam. The Baroness has need of me. Finish up here and then go enjoy yourself as you like"

"She does?" he perks up "Can I help?"

"No." He says and moves on. He's not..rude intentionally, he's just blunt at times

Another sigh, and he finishes feeding the birds.

"Sorry, guys." he tells them "It's not you, it's me."

Indeed, one of the falcons fusses at him a bit

"Ssshhhhh... what?"

He wants to fly, to hunt, to do something.

"Yeah, I know. Me too." Instead, he finishes feeding the falcons and putting them to bed for the night, cleaning the equipment.

"Excuse me" A voice says, "Sir Sergei?" A woman's voice calls up

Adam looks around. "Sorry, no. I'm Adam. Can I help you?"

"Oh. I'm sorry. " the voice says from below in the stairway "I was looking for a job of sorts."

Adam goes over and looks down to see the speaker.
