Indeed he does, Adam has a physical edge.

But the boggan has trained, a lot, and seems to read Adam with a practiced eye.

Adam tries to focus and get that touch.....

He does, but at the same time he gets one on the shoudler of the boggan, he feels a touch at his belly

Tylar says "Well, I might lose my arm but ..." A smile "Can I call that a win?"

Adam looks down at his midsection.

Yup. Weapon at his gut.

He frowns. "A draw, anyway."

He notes the frown "What's wrong?"

A shrug and the frown fades as he steps back. "I wasn't looking for a draw."

"You're good."

"I had good trainers" he says "But thanks. You're got a lot of talent."

"Thanks. Need to get sharper, but that's what practice is for."

"is there something you're working on specifically with your fighting style? I almost fell for that feint by the way"

A cocky grin. "Sir Bachdion taught me that. I guess I need to get better at it, though, if you -almost- fell for it."

"I'm just following my mentor's instructions and trying to get better at it all. After I get the basics I'll work on flare."

"Me too." he says "Fiona hold, flare is pretty much a day to day, but I just don't have the uhm.. flourish?" he mimes a swirling motion with his weapon.

"You gotta make your own."

"That's what I hear" he nods "But you're right, fundamentals, then flare. " he nods then says "Ah, is that devil chimera girl yours?"

Adam's expression moves quickly to loving. "Not mine, she's her own, but we're bonded."

"Sorry, that's what I mean. " He nods "Okay."

"Bonded, but we're not exclusive, dude. You like her? I can mention you."

"Oh no no, Velvet would kill me" Alarmed eyes

"Velvet's your girlfriend?"

"Velvet Shadecandle, a slaugh, have you met her?" The young wilder says

"Uh, no. My sister is sluagh, though."

"Oh, they'll probably talk sometime." he says "Yes, Velvet's my girlfriend' An admission "Nervous thing, having a sluagh as a girlfriend. She's pretty, and polite, but sometimes I think she wants to have a little tragedy in our romance and I worry what she might arrange. Fake a murder with us both framed? So we must be on the run? A full blown posession so I can free her from some ghost's grip with love? "

"Wow. That's.... a lot. High maintenance much?"

"She hasn't done it yet, it's just sometimes I think she's getting ideas. I want her happy though. It's like Sir Earl says 'Happy Sluagh Love, into the iron maiden you won't be shoved'"

"Hey, as long as you're both happy....."

"Mostly yes..." he says "This hold comes into two types of people, those really into each each other, and those playing around a lot.. both are accepted"

"Yeah?" His eyes light. "Can you be both?"

"Because I saw her walking around and we don't have that many free roaming Chimera in the halls. Thistlesnort maybe, and Bronte is in the library."

"I've met them. Nab's cuter." He grins.

"I wouldn't say that near the library if I were you" A smile though

"Oh yeah, the Librarian is sluagh too." He remembers.

"Miss Zara. She's a good person, but very proper. " He says "And a good friend of the Baron. Respect is warranted." Squire Tylar says. "She is more powerful than she wants folks to know, but also less feared than she'd like to be I think."

"Yeah, she seemed cool."

"She is. In some ways she's the reason the Seer doesn't have to do much work"

"Yeah? How come?"

"Because word is she's better htan he is at magics"

"Huh. Why do they have a Seer then, how come she's Librarian?"

"Because she loves being a librarian and is good at it. And she doesn't want to be pestered with spell requests"

"That's cool."

"Nab and I have been working on me being able to, you know, sense magic."

"Kenning" He nods "Hard one to build up at times. It is a talent that can be part natural."

"Not for me, I guess. But I'm getting better."
