The big man eyes the taser, then scowls, but cowed leaves

Adam takes a step (two?) forward, but does not chase the guy down. Instead, he picks up the paper he can.

A look at Adam "Adam, don't try pursue a fight with a pig. Even if you win, you end up filthy"

"Yeah, but he said....." Adam starts.

"He said a lot of stupid things. Why do you care?" Magnus says

Adam starts to answer, and arrests. He thinks about it.

"He shouldn't have said......."

"Why do you care what an idiot thinks of you so much that you want to provoke him further?"

"Yeah....... I guess."

"Adam, even if there were nothing fae about you, if you never saw a chimera... if you were 'just' Adam Thomas... you're the better man than that slob. He's not worth your time and he can only hurt your pride if you let him. You're cooler than he is. Enjoy that fact, and move on. Now, let's go save a missing girl, shall we? THAT is worth our time" Assurance

"Yes, Sir. Uh. Sorry." He looks abashed and he genuinely seems to have taken the lesson to heart.

"No problem" Magnus says "And Sorry about that.. no idea that would happen. Crazy world ." And they go knocking and asking folks. it's long, tedious work

Adam is ok with that.

In fact, the work might be good for him.

Despite that one slip... Adam CAN be charming even with a mask on.

He -tries-.

And he stumbles onto a clue. One lady says "I have seen her go through here a lot. Sweet girl. Never made no trouble. I thought I saw her a few days ago, but I can't be sure it was her. there was a van in the way"

"A van? What kind of van?"

"Ugly thing... flame design, but not a pretty one you know? not really professional" She wrinkles her nose

"Yeah... like.... amature. What else?"

"I think it was a ford?" the woman says "But i couldn't swear to it. Oh, tinted windows"

"That amazing. Thank you!!"

He dashes back to report to Sir Magnus.

Magnus says "Adam, I could kiss you! That's just what we needed!"

The boy is -delighted- to have pleased Magnus. "Yeah? It is?"

"It's a big lead. " he nods "We can ask about the van too. See what coincides. Maybe, if we're very lucky, nearby cameras at local businesses caught that van on footage"

"What can I do??" Bouncing.

"You drive right?"

"Hell yeah." A grin.

"Guess what' He offers his keys "Set your phone to speaker, and drive in circles about a mile eh?"

"Yeah!!!" Enthused, Adam takes the keys and does as told.

Adam drives for a bit.. and almost doesn't notice... behind some over growth a flash of red.

But when he sees it, he pulls over and stops. Hard.

At this point, he's supposed to call Magnus

He hesitates a moment, wanting to charge..... but no, he calls Sir Magnus.

And Magnus is on his way "Thank you, my boy"

"Yes Sir?" wanting to be helpful.

"Let's check it out carefully" A look at him when Magnus arrives "I don't suppose you'll be willing to wait here while I investigate?"

"I'll wait if you wish it, Sir."

(He totally wants to go with Magnus)

Magnus consider it

Adam fidgets, energized.

"Sir?"

"Sorry, just getting a look at the place from this angle. " he says "And casting a cantrip. Adam. I think more than one girl is here"

"More than one?"

"Yes.. flashes of girls being carried, drugged" He frowns "I need a distraction, something to lure him out while I slip into the House while he's out"

"I can do that?"

"Oh? Dare I ask how?"

A big grin. "Any way?"

"Just.... tell me. I'll do whatever."
