"It's just a puppy, Emerald. They don't know anything. Be nice."

Perched on Thistle's head, holding onto a tiny fistful of brightly colored hair for balance. Buzz Buzz of wings, it tickles!

Aiden raises a brow. "You've named them, now?"

"Just... colors. The ones that are around a lot?"

"They have different personalities, if you pay attention."

"mmm too soon for a lot of personality in the pups for sure, but I thik some are more assertive already" Noting "maybe favor mom's blood, those"

"I've been told that they speak quite well, if one can listen carefully and closely enough to make it out. Though, it is seldom worth the effort, as their brains are filled with fluff and nonsense."

"The Neverlanders, that is, not the pups." Aiden clarifies. Though he sighs a bit as one tugs on a bootlace, and then tumbles onto her back comically. "Perhaps the pups, also, for a time."

"Oh? mm?" Gwen only barely notices the Nevers when pups to look after

In the distance, Ivan waits, and huffs. HE was cute and litttle once

"Well, lots of nonsense.... but they have decent instincts, kinda, for morons."

"They're helping with my project. They can tell when something bad or scary is near, right? Get agitated, chime a lot?"

"It's a really good idea" THAT she seconds

Mischka watches Ivan for a moment, then grumbles something at him. "Your turn to baby sit." It seemed to be, as she stands, several pups tumbling off of her, and pads off towards the Kennels for a break and perhaps a snack.

"I don't know if they'll actually work..." She mutters to Gwen.

Ivan gives a plaintive look "Maaaaa... oh fine" and he tends to the little ones moving amid them. When one pounces his paw. He looks down. He's not allowed to eat this rival, is he?

Aiden considers. "Even a simple-minded songbird can sing out an alarm. It is not a bad concept." He allows.

Puppies swarm Ivan's feet. Mischka is his mother, so half of him. And Mischka is their mother, so half of them. Therefore, these pups are half-of-half-of-him, and must be protected.

"Good boy" Gwen tells her dog. And he wags.

"Right. So in the absence of actual Spriggan bits, we're just gonna go at it... sideways? Like?"

Ivan sniffs the pups, and.. licks one that needs cleaning

"Would that the dogs had not been tricked asleep, you'd be lucky to find even bits." Aiden says, a brief flash of anger.

Ivan gets a tiny pink tongue licking his nose back!

"Hear hear, my lord" Gwen says

She flinches a little at the flash of ire.

"I.. uh.. yeah, so."

"Um."

"I'm trying to make detectors?"

"If she can make it work, the Nevers will be a big help. Have to tell Blossom not to let the birrds on them"

"If they have been named, they should be seen as pets - or perhaps Companions. I will speak with Blossom, that such are off limits. Stray and wild Chimera she may still sharpen their skills on, however. The raptors must not grow rusty."

"They're just.. you know, they're around..."

"I think there are some vole at the edges of the grounds. I was going to sic the terriers on them...but the hawks could try too"

"Voles?" Aiden frowns. "See that you do. If they spread their colony tunnels, they weaken pasture grounds and may leave burrows that can cause a horse to stumble or even break a leg."

"I will baron" Okay, voles are going down.

Ivan is not sure how he got MORE puppies on him

"The Glenns are clever. They can flush them out, and the raptors take care of the rest."

Thistle is trying to coax 'Emerald' to say hi to the puppy in her lap.

The glennies perk "Looks like we've got a mission." "Yup . Operation Vole Flush is ago . Lull them into dropping guard then strike them.." /"Until then, smile and wag boys, smile and wag"

Ivan is half covered with pups now, some tugging at his ears, some sniffing at his feet, one sleeping right on his back.

He sighs, and will put a paw on one that nnips at an ear too hard

The green-tinged never lowers themself down on a hank of Thistle's hair like a cliff climber, and chimes of laughter peal as the pup sniffs, then licks their feet!

"See? Friendly baby potato."

"I think they're more like grown potatoes.. see, they got eyes" Gwen smirks. Pleased at her pun

"Now, a potato has no dignity. These shall grow to be fine dogs. A shame that we must lose two." Aiden strokes a pup, checking her legs and feet, splaying her paws to check on tiny claws and dew claw growth, before setting her down once more.

"I hope the DeBukes appreciate the one they get" Gwen says

A small frown from Aiden. "I am somewhat ill at ease to send a pup to an unknown home, but... a contract is a contract. What I have heard is that they care very well for their animals, livestock, working beasts and pets alike. Oak is a fine specimen, if taken as an example of their work. Though, I suppose even diamonds may come from common soil."

"Oak is" She admits "Too bad Gerd is such a breeding prude. Edelwiess could help the line develop"

Thistle listens quietly.

Aiden reaches into his pocket, and there is a crinkling sound. Oh, oh! Ivan KNOWS THAT SOUND. A few of the pups look over, curious at the noise, even though they may not recognize it...

Several Glennies also take note and sit up like Teddy Bears!

Ivan twists his head, possibly a puppy slidinng off his head
