"Yeah. I have the sack he put the puppies in. Tried a willowhisper bu it didn't help much. Why?"

"So the sask SHOULD have spriggan smell, excellent! Can I have it?"

"Uh.. sure, but how will you separate the puppie smells?"

"Never-noses LIKE puppies, but don't like spriggans."

"Never ..noses? " She says surprised 'They have a good sense of smell? Huh. I never.. pardon the pun, knew. Hang tight. I'll be right back. "She rrushes off, and returns with heavy thuds with that bag which is in a large Plastic back to keep the scent

"See, I sealed it so the smell would't ffade if we ever had a chance to use onne of the dogs to track"

"Well, I won't take all of it... but, see, if I impregnate the clay with it, it'll be permanently embedded..."

"If it smells extra puppy, that's fine, but it's if spriggan smell goes over the baseline that the thing will go ding..."

"Oh, not a pleasant woman, the former Chancellior of the hold... think of her as the Jafar of our story... though she would claim otherwise.." And she relates the tale, the focus is on Linnnae and Dancia, trolls bound by an oath , and oath that was both their salvation, and a trap...

"Tricky... so Dahlia was the Lady, then Calanthe, and now the Baroness?"

"Oh yes... " And she goes on ..explaining what kind of woman Calanthe was. ... of how she abused Chuck's mom as a psycahatrist. The Dictum used to rifle her rroom. "And both thanes HAD to obey her"

"What a &^%^%&." She says a word that makes the dogs HOWL.

A blink "Easy on the glenies, but yes she was... but like many a villain, she thought herself a hero.." And she stops "What I tell you of the baron, between us, okay? I would not shame him, but he..over reached, and it cost him"

A nod, and she tells of Dahlia... of the Baron seeking to bend fate... and how it almost cost him his mind whenn he lost his wife. And there was Calanthe, who 'helped' by shaping memories, and twistinng father against son.

"She used him as a scape goat.. robbed tthem both of years" She goes on and explainnnns... "Enter the Baroness..." And she takes her time, but finally gets to the nightmare... The order of Calanthe to kill the Baronness, Dancia firing, Linnnae risking being oathbrroken to defy Calanthe and save the baronness. And Calanthe's fate, and "While each mends, the sisters have a rift now. Both loyal, honorable, and dutifiul, yet opposed and now slow to rejoin"

"That's fucked up."

"Succinctly put" She agrees, looking quite sad "Marigold became my mom, but the thanes taught me so much about being a troll. Their last lessons proved to be the harshest."
