A raised brow, but she doesn't call out the lie. "Jordan, Dame AnneMarie has helped many fae figure out how to get settled in their new lives. She has done this barony amazing service in this and many other regards."

"Thank you, Chieftain," A smile from the boggan "Oh my I've innterupted a meal."

"Oh, please join us," she offers the boggan. "Gerd did the honors."

"Jordan, where would you prefer to stay tonight? I do not know if a bed or cot would be comfortable, or if you prefer to sleep standing?" Completely sincere question.

Gerd looks pleased "Oh yeah, Squire if you want, chowdown"

"I'll try a bed" Jordan answers. That's a yes at staying tonight

"French fries and onion rings, Connor."

She nods. "Good enough. When you are ready...." and she explains where the available room is upstairs.

Connor starts to say something, but bites his lip a bit and instead, “I sure couldn't eat a second dinner.”

"We'll talk about that twenty bucks later " Jordann wipes his face with a napkin "I think I'll check that room out" he looks at the stairs, and starts to take them carefully

“If you get stuck up there, my sister can give you a free ride out.” Thinking of the lake... one might guess based on his hidden grin.

"Rest well, Jordan. And welcome."

Gerd gets it, and grins at her little brother

And soon Jordan is up the stairs.. annd out of earshot

"What.a.jerk" Gerd says, it's clear if her little brothe wasn't there she'd say worse

She watches him go up the stairs, then looks at the others, quietly.

“It’s sad that he got off on the wrong foot, when he has so many of them to spare.”

Grunt.

"I recall some others who had rough starts," she points out.

Anne Marie shakes her head "You don't need to be a boggan to tell that boy has his defenses up"

"I know."

"I know, okay? But he's obnoxious."

Connor returns to prodding lightly at Dagmar’s leg. “I think you'll be okay. We don't have to take you out behind the barn.”

Brekke nods to AnneMarie. "He is frightened. And whatever home he has, he does not think he can return there. Give him three days of patience."

“What DO farmers do out behind the barn, anyways?” A curious expression.

"I'm not a farmer, so." Shrug.

“Nope. You’re a KING.”

Gerd answers "Depends on the farmer"

"And he is obnoxious" Gerd agrees with Dagmar

That's when folks notice an English Springer Spaniel heading up the stairs

Brekke sighs.

Anne Marie says "I'll try to find out more about his mortal identity... see who he is related to. Whether he believes it or not, this is the safest place for him."

Brekke almost calls after Tiffany...but then again, if Jordan assumes that the dog is just a dog, he may let down some of his guards.

A nod to Anne Marie. "Please gather that information, but I think I will wait to see if he offers it on his own."

"Sorry. Sorry. He just..." Huff.

"I'll be respectful in my research, and discrete" Anne assures the Chief, then looks at Dagmar "Dagmar dear, you have a RIGHT to your feelings, he's ..difficult. But maybe he'll come around. After all, Dirk became my son. Who could have seen THAT happen?" A smile

"I understand, Dagmar. And I am not saying it will be easy."

A bit of a grin at the comment about Dirk.

"Kerri would know just how to do this. But I just wanna shake him."

Gerd looks at Dagmar "Right therre with you"

"There will be no shaking."

"No lake-ing, no shaking," Gerd sighs

"I know. I want to crush the damn hunters, too. Just... argh." Frustrated noise.

"Now, them you may shake. Hard." The mention of them makes her scowl.

Then she mutters, "I will have to move forward more quickly than I thought."

And an English Springer Spanniel comes down

"Yeah. Still mad I wiped out. I wanted to help."

“Moving forward quickly is like moving backward super slow." A nod.
