Brekke sets down her plate and leans forward a bit. Those who know her well might see that she's amused. "Safety. Food. Knowledge, if you wish it. That is what you get for three days of Haven."

"And...perhaps I could teach you to fight a bit..." she adds in an off-hand manner.

"What there's a troll fu?" He blinks

Gerd texts quietly

"Hey, Jordan."

"You might say that."

She extends a broad blue hand.

"Yeah? " He says cautiously

And then eyinngg it, takes the hand

She gives it a squeeze. And then tightens it, just a touch.

And a touch more.

He grunts, at firstt surprised at his own strength, but Dagmar was strong even for a troll. And she has layered oaths on top it. his confidence starts to evaporate "Real nice to meet you"

Obviously nnow hoping she lets go

"Dagmar...."

"He won't believe things he can't see, so." She lets go.

"And Lane's fast, right? Like a satyr?"

"It is much for him to take in at once. Be patient."

"Jordan, where is home for you?"

Jordan pulls his hand back, then says "I'm currently nomadic" true but hardly informative. He waits until he THINKS ohers aren' looking to flex blood flow back into his hand

She nods. "That is easier for you to take Haven here, then."

A knock at the door

"Hm. She is not here now, but you will meet Hearth Kerri, probably tomorrow. She is another leader here," she simplifies.

Then a sharp look at the door, and a nod to Tiffany, who is closest.

Tiffany opens the door and Anne Marie is there "So sorry, Kerri is runnng late and I was told we.. oh my"

Dagmar rubs at her leg, quiet and sullen.

And behind Anne Marie, running up, is Connor, puffing from exertion! "Lemme in! Please!" He adds belatedly, only JUST not pushing past Ann Marie.

"Welcome, AnneMarie. This is Jordan. Jordan, meet AnneMarie. Ah...and Connor."

Connor barely takes notice of the new centaur. "Dagmar??"

"Okay are dog people common or?" He stares

"Nice to meet you, Jordan" She smiles

"No, some of us are Squires." He says, then double-takes.

"Who's THAT?"

"Hey, short stack." A tired smile for the pook.

"You got HURT." Accusatory tone! "Mr. King-not-mountain got home and I asked 'bout you and he said...." Connor makes a bit of a grumbly scowly face, "And I came right over."

"There are many wondrous people in our world, Jordan," Brekke says quietly.

"I guess.. " Jordann takes a breath as the crowd grows

Jordan mutters something under his breath

"Pardon?" Brekke asks, as if she were meant to hear it.

"Yeah, I wrecked my bike. But Tiffany helped me, and Chief helped me, and I'll be okay." Gently, reassuring.

"I met one centaur before, but if she's Lane, that must make you HIGHWAY." Oogling the larger centaur guy a bit as he skirts through the crowd, joining Dagmar's side.

"Nothin" A lie

"High..is this kid mental?" Jordan asks

"Mm." In response to the lie.

Connor blinks, and his cheeks color a bit, dropping his gaze. To Dagmar instead, he says, "The bike is most important." Sincerely.

Gerd's eyes darknenn a touch "He's my brother"

"Connor is a pooka. He has many talents and skills, but pooka cannot speak in a straightforward manner."

Tiffany nods "It's true, when I monologue its all rainbows"

Brekke gestures to Tiffany as if to say Exhibit A.

Dagmar shoots a quiet glare at Jordan.

Anne Marie asks "Where are you from, Jordan? DO you have family?"
