"Well, I would think a returning hero would have earned some down time and celebration...."

"Well, making sure of that almost sounds like a honorable duty in itself" Sally mae manages and ruffles Carowyn's hair lightly

Carowyn says "Rest well, Baroness" not ired, but resigned that fun will be had at his expense lightly

"You too!"

She heads upstairs, leaving the pair to a bit of privacy.

"Sally Mae," Carowyn says lightly chiding "Others fought far harder than I... they did more."

"I'm the right hand to the hearth around here," Sally mae says

"Soo?" he asks not sure what that means

"So I'll decide what type of pie I give to which folk" Innocent/not innocent sparkle to her eyes

He rolls his eyes and pulls her into his lap causing her to laugh but somehow she doesn't pull away a bit

Kerri has been upstairs, after insisting that Brekke wake and get cleaned up, and helping her to do so. Now she comes back down, and grins at the two of them.

"Chieftain's on her way back down," she lets them know.

A distant rumbleroar.......

"Oh" Sir Carowyn says

Kerri arranges some quilts, draping them over the Chieftain's chair, and she stands unobtrusively at the base of the stairs as the Chieftain makes her way back down, wrapped in a comfortable bathrobe. She takes time on the stairs.

and Sally Mae rises "Right. Back to work for me'

Dagmar enters the lodge, carrying a bloody bundle of clothing. She's looking a touch grey and translucent.

Vali comes in, not as faded, but close. Perhaps He's shared some glamour with the younger knight

"Thankyou," Kerri silently mouths to Sally Mae, then gestures Brekke back to her chair.

The crunch of footsteps on gravel.............multiple feet........

"Thank you, Hearth," Brekke rumbles.

And Sally mae does indeed get back to work. Tove is already on it

She settles in her chair and looks at the door.

"Hey Chief. Kerri." She stalls, sort of lurking near the door.

Tove sees her daughter and moves to her "Dagmar..." And she hugs her girl fiercely.

Kerri gives Dagmar a tight grin, trying to hide how upsetting the girl's pallor is. And then she sees Vali. "You both better come sit close to the fire."

Brekke nods agreement at that, but still looks past them to the door.

"Hey Mom." She allows the hug.

Vali walks in "Dagmar and I took care of the iron"

And he nods to the hearth

Dagmar gets snuck in some glamour from the hug!

"Got the clothes. They have blood, Symon said.. like.. so I kept them?"

The teenager looks much more blue after the hug, in a good way.

"We'll need to burn them," Kerri confirms.

Tove who has NOT been at battle only looks a wee bit less bright now.

"Uh-huh." She trails over to claim a seat.

Frank pushes the door open, and lets Lut and Adam enter first.... but his eyes seek only one person.

Adam enters and looks around.

Sally Mae moves to Adam "Adam.. you okay? Have a seat.. I'll get you a drink"

"I'm fine, I'm ok... Piper? Where's Piper?"

Dagmar's eyes have closed as she basks in the glow - still holding the clothes, still in her armor.

Tove says "Dagmar, are you hurt?"

Kerri gently takes the bloody clothes away from Dagmar and brings them away through the kitchen and out the back door.

"She was using the shower, Adam. There's a bit of a line" Sally mae says

"Oh. Ok." Adam doesn't relax, but accepts.

Brekke takes a pleased deep breath as she sees Frank, but winces.

"Dag. You ok?"

Frank walks to Brekke.

"I'm okay. Fire feels nice."

"Ok." Adam steps back and looks up the stairs, then around.
