all wilders can feel SOME in the hedges.. some in the grass... but yes, many in the building

"Fuck they're.... outside....."

She bites her lip. "Okay...so...do we kill of the ones outside first? Or the ones inside?"

"All of 'em!"

"Well, d'uh, but we can't do all of them at the same time!" Sylvi says with some impatience.

"Dirk, what'll happen to you if you eat these things?"

"I mean, like, assuming you'd be willing to."

"I'm wililng to eat any thing but cold iron. I don't think it'll hurt mme. they gotta latch.. if I eat em... they die first... Ithink" Dirk sets his jaw "Yeah I can do it"

"What if you get the memories?"

One tick hops out.. and wanders far too close to Sylvi... but doesn't seem to notice her.. must be the veil

"Don't know.. I remember something like needle work ?" A shrug

"Ack!" She stabs down at the head of the thing with her spear.

"What?"

And it spluts satisfactorily! Troll strength, spear.. the two tastes that go great together

alas, the veil breaks along with the ugly bug

and there is a sudden horrific chittering from the hedges and the growth

"Oh...crap."

"Shit......" Adam takes up his stance, en-guard.

"Quick, Dirk, chomp on this, proof of concept." She offers the redcap the thing on the tip of the spear. "Don't bite my weapon."

She needs her spear cleared anyway.

ANd dirk does.. sliding it off like it was meat on kabob!

crunch crunch...

and something spews out of his nostrils

and heads towards ... like a wisp, towards the resting home

"Ooooh...I hope that's a good thing..." Sylvi mutters. Then, "Okay, guys, for the moment, I'm bait. They can't see you yet. I'm betting you get a free shot, once. Come on...." She approaches the hedges, spear held ready.

And the others charge! Heading towards Sylvi

"Ahhh!" So much for the approach, she back off quickly...but maybe that give Adam and Dirk a chance to attack them as they pursue her. When one gets close enough, she stabs it.

Dirk leaps like a mad dog going after a small animal in reach of its chain! Savaging one his jaws

Stab! Stab! Stab!

She clips one's wing, spears another solidly.. the third charges the back of her head and...

"Get it off! Get it off!"

She drops her spear and grabs her Bowie knife, trying to stab the thing she can't see.

Adam draws his blade and puts himself between Sylvi and the bugs, stabbing the one attacking her.

And Adam's blow strikes true.

Each Memory Tick severed or slain causes an escape of some light flying back to the resting home

Adam focuses on defending Sylvi, and then pressing his attacks away from her.

Ironically, and for once, both Adam and Dirk seem to be in agreement!

As Dirk snaps and smashes any that get near

Adam has no issues, apparently, letting Dirk take defense. He spends his energy on offence, stepping out to protect Sylvi and others, and mostly KILL THOSE FUCKERS.

As soon as the one on her head is gone, she grabs up her spear and joins in the fight, even if she has to shove one of the guys out of the way to do it.

And good thing too as she sees Adam's all out offense means another is landing on the back of his head and ready to dig in from the OTHER side

She grabs it and throws it to the ground before stabbing it.

(And the battle goes in in the Bergen room)

Dagmar is feeding Mackerel at the lodge. The cat is surly. Returned here after finally getting used to Earth RUnes.

And she might hear a car grinding up... a bit mud spluttered.

"C'mon, it's tuna."

She goes to check the window, curious.

Eden looks..faded, worn...

"Dude." Cat abandoned, she goes out to meet the pooka.
