The thing is embedded in Adam's forehead.

Kind of hurts.

And it's not coming out.

He can't get a grip on it's slick hide.

And whatever it's doing in there, it's terribly unnerving having a chimerical bug having 'screwed' itself into your skull halfway.

"Nab?" He stares at the mirror.

"Stop looking at the rearview mirror of the car and get into the lodge" Nab says a bit panicky "I don't know what this thing is, but I want it out "

They are parked in front of the lodge. Fun trip.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah......." a little alarmed, himself, he jumps out and runs up to the door, trusting Nab can keep up.

Easily... "Just go in you'r a member geez" Nab says a bit snapish! She cares about him and is scared for him...so a bit hissy

he -was- about to knock but at her insistence he opens the door and peers in. "Hello? Anyone?"

And sure enough he sees...Dirk? Dirk turns "Yeah?" THen blinks "WOw...what is that in your head?"

"I dunno. Is Mrs. Davidson here?"

"Nope. Just me. Sally Mae went out to shop something mask and all and Gerd's looking for Conner.. Dagmar might be around. Sit down let me look at it"

"Shit........" He winces and enters, sits.

Dirk grabs at it, and curses, "It's slippery.. I can't get a purchase. WIsh Symon were here. He'd love this thing"

Adam's not sure, but he thinks he just lost some sports trivia

"Shit... shit man, I think it's eating.... something. Memories? Nab?!?!?!"

"Can you find Mrs. Davidson? Or the Chief? Or.... or anyone??"

"I can't possess you to see.." She nods "I'll go looking."

"Fuck that." Dirk says "Nab... get one of them spring cookies, a jar empty...I got an idea"

Nab looks unsure who to listen to. One's scary as hell, the other is her friend "Maybe we should try Dirk's idea?" She asks

"Yeah, ok, fine....."

Nab goes to get the things.

Dirk says "Okay.. here's the plan.. I'm gonna scare it out of you" He nods "I'm a cap. We can bully almost anything"

Adam does not look thrilled with the idea but.... "Yeah, ok."

Nab returns "Jar, cookie..." She hands it over "So feed him the cookie?"

"Not yet.. gonna need that to patch the hole" Dirk takes the jar, gets the cover, "I'm gonna intidate it out of of him"

"What ifyou scare it DEEPER or right THROUGH him?" Nab says

"THen it won't chew on him much more and we'll catch it on the otherside" Dirk says then snarls at the forehead

"Get out of him I'm going to peel your carathing like a grape hide and suck down the juice of you and fill it with my spit ..... then I'm gonna stick you in a bug zapper and laugh as you jig..."

There's a pop whiz click sound as the thing rushes , backpedals out!

and into a glass jar

"Eat the cookie fast before you bleed all over the place" Dirk says sealing the jar

Adam himself is gripped by a powerful emotion he doesn't really recognize, or like..... he jerks back away from the redcap with a bellow.

Yup. Blood down his forehead

Nab hands the cookie and almost Shoves it into Adam's mouth if he won't get it himself

He grabs for it, chewing; a bit of blood may have made it in too but he doesn't seem concerned about that.

There's a warm sensation and... the bleeding stimies and clots

Dirk punches some holes in the lid "Symon is SO gonna owe me for this"

Nab says "i'm going to get him a bandage and alcholal to wipe that with"

Adam chews, swallows, hops up and moves around the room "... the -fuck-, man......."

"What?" Dirk says not seeing the problem "We got it out' he shakes the jar bouncing the memory tick around

Adam is rubbing the spot on his head. "Am I ok?"

"I never thought you were" Dirk shrugs "But you ain't bleeding out of your skull no more"

Adam turns to Nab, slipping his arms around her.
