"I now have multiple thoughts on strategy. It is time for council to plan the raid."

He doesn't seem eager, but... "I'll go if you need me. But you know I ain't muscle. And I don't want to log anyone down hauling my ass out. And I hope you tear them apart."

Eden nods at that

"Mm. Safety of the workers, first. And then..." she actually gives a grim grin. "We will tear them apart."

"I don't know the Thane well, but Tiffany... doesn't she have that bomb-happy foster? Just sayin', I won't cry any tears if there were fireworks. Once the decent folk are loose."

"I want to go."

"Oh, I think everybody will have a role to fill in this. We will need all. But Symon, Eden, the work you have done already has made a huge difference in getting us to victory. You have my thanks." She puts a fist over her heart and bows solemnly to them.

"If you get caught and forget who you are..." Eden says "Everything will be okay" then she nods "Can... can I call my boyfriend and tell him I'm strong and tough and don't need arms around me telling it's okay?"

He looks to Brekke for the answer on that one. "Me , I just left a note that said Dagmar could have the thankless job of handing out my stuff, except the partial taxidermies which Dirk could eat."

Brekke considers. "I do not know him, Eden. I do not know if we can trust him. Can you keep what has happened to yourself?"

Snort.

"As a rule I'm good about hiding nuance" she says

"But.. it ..it can wait a year and a day"

"Call him, then. You should both rest by the Balefire tonight."

not true.. but she makes a gesture of five..whewther she means five minutes, five hours or five days?

"Make it five days. That should suffice."

She nods

"5 days?" He frowns, wincing at remembering what he saw. "No, sorry. Guess it's better than rushing it. You're the Chief for a reason. You get to make all the shitty calls."

A grunt at Symon's statement.

"Five days at most for Eden to remain quiet. I want to be in there tomorrow if possible, or the day after. But we must have a plan that will get them out safely."

Eden says "Chieftain.. ever wish you were venomous?" Wistful "That you could break a commandment?"

He nods, looking relieved. "Good. I don't want to think of them there for another 5 days. Or another 5 minutes longer than humanly... or magically... possible. I don't suppose you could sic Lupe on them? ...I guess it might start an international incident between werewolves and fairies." A sigh.

"Sure we can't ask Lupe? She's something else in a fight, and iron won't stop her..."

"I mean, her chief might not let her..."

"If a wolf goes wild, the sheep might get caught inbetween bites.... if the storm can aim better than a pack, let her rage instead" Eden says and lays her head down on the sofa edge and closes her eyes

"Right. The workers."

Brekke gives Eden a nod at the venomous wish.

"Dagmar, perhaps you should ask Lupe, yes. We may need the aid of non-fae, considering the iron and weapons."

"Right, if she loses it..." A frown.

A glance at the Chief. "Just need to make sure that someone is there to focus on the kids. Then on the rest of the workers."

"But yeah, You should have the entire council of Elrond to discuss this, otherwise you're just repeating shit to tired hobbits."

"Well, we keep her away from the workers. Fuck, you want a DISTRACTION?"

Sally Mae comes out "Food being made, drinks.. rest and more.. Chief.. with respect? You might want to call some folks in while Symon and Eden get some rest. Dagmar can guard the fire tonight if she wishes"

A look to Sally Mae and a nod. "Yes. Symon, Eden, thank you. Rest well. Sally Mae, please call AnneMarie and let her know that Symon will be staying here this night. I will begin to alert the others."

Sally Mae nods "Of course, Chieftain."

And Brekke leaves the Lodge to begin to gather the troops.

Dagmar gets pillows for the couches. "Both of you, hunker down."

And Sally Mae nods to Dagmar and gets to calls and working.

And Eden is already asleep. As if hiding from the waking world by seeking dreams

"Hey, Dagmar?" He whispers over to her.

"Yeah Sy?"

"If that Balor happened to... fall off the catwalk and bust her head open just like a polearm split her skull? Fuck salt tears. I saw her trip."

Grunt.

"I'm gonna sharpen Flyswatter."

"Don't forget to roughen up the grips, you can use the sharkskin for that. Then sweaty.. or bloody hands won't slip."

"Mm." Agreeing.

"You remember the key from Battle for the Skull Tower?" Tugging the map over again. "If we were sieging it with who is here now... on this layout... how would you order your troops?" And for as long as Dagmar cares to stay, will go over potential strategies. Maybe it's D&D terminology, but... still valid for plots.

Dagmar sits down next to her friend, happy to talk out ideas.

Soon they shall be fed their rations of sluagh slop and troll chow... Pooka Bites will be ready should Eden awake. Armies , even small ones, travel on their stomach.
