"None taken." Frank rumbles. "Liam is known as the House of Wisdom. We have records and information that can be made available, and ways of getting more."

"Piper, you may be right, but it is also a matter of respect for Sir Vali."

"Dame Dagmar," Brekke nods. "Is she well?"

Gerd nods at what Frank says then gets a call "Uncle Vali. We've got an A-12, with a request for the Crazy 8 Ball special"

"I figure, it's not like he's a... remember those old fortune telling machines at boardwalks that you pput a quarter in?"

"I'm sure he would get tired of being asked to pop a quarter and give a future."

"Seems pretty good. Sounds like jester auditions were tough."

"She has this bardic-music-troubadour thing coming up..."

Gerd nods "Yeah. Big Hat and Convoy are okay with it, asked me to call you"

"I had heard about that..." Eager longing touching her voice.

"I will have to contact her," Brekke says to Dagmar, then raises a brow at Gerd's lingo.

"We'll go." Adam assures Piper softly.

A glance to Adam and Piper. "Piper? You...wish to compete for the jester position?" A dubious tone.

"oh, no!" A laugh. "But.. I would like to see the bardic competition, and maybe play something..."

"You should go! This nocker I escorted, he made his own, like, electric harp?"

"Though god forbid a kitten get lost..."

Gerd finishes up "Yeah. Frenchy too. Ciao"

She hangs up "Uncle Vali's on his way"

"Hm. I can agree with this. Piper, you should go."

"You really think so... that it would be okay?" She hesitates, but the longing is clear.

"Why not? You'd be good. Rivervale represent!"

Brekke tilts her head at her. "Is there any reason not to go?"

Gerd nods "Dagmar's right. Rivervale would get repsresentation, and you could tell the Chief and Mountain all that went down. You KNOW they'd be happy to hear more news about how things go there while still respecting boundaries. They're got parent brain. They're proud for her"

She bites her lip. "I suppose not." (ding) "I mean, I should ask Uncle and Auntie M if they mind me running off, I do still live there."

"It would be polite."

Adam stays close to Piper's side for this.

"Well, I think you'd smoke'm."

A blink. "I...would indeed appreciate knowing more about the goings on at Fenix..." she mutters thoughtfully.

Brekke gets another eyebrow from Frank.

"So, it's almost like.. it's like you need me to go...?" She asks tentatively, grasping at the opening.

(Soonish..speed of plot. Fear not. I shall not penalize)

"I might consider it a...valuable service." Brekke allows.

"I mean, Tove can't..."

Brekke looks to Frank.

"I'll have to think of a song..." She suddenly looks deep in concentration.. but then startles. "Oh. Chieftain."

And in comes Vali

"I said I would help on Adam's quest." A frown, but she nods. "If that comes first, I understand." Slightly pained, but firm. "There's always music another time."

"Is.... is there a way we can do both, Chief?" Adam asks.

Some unspoken communication between Brekke and Frank, then she looks back to them. "Perhaps there is," she says to Adam. Then, "Vali. Thank you for coming."

"Well. you sure can't have ME sing. C'mon."

"What can I do for you, Chief?" Vali says

"Can you tell us if Adam is secretly a relation of True Thomas?" A small smile.

Adam grins lightning-fast at her.

A large blink from the Chieftain. "I was not aware that was the question."

"Well. Thomas." Adam points out helpfully.

"Go back in history enough and almost everyone is related. 80% of modern Europeans are related to Ghengis Khan" Vali says to Piper

"Oh, I know it's a common name... but wouldn't it be rad? No, but Adam has a Sword of Destiny. Musical Destiny."

"Well, it has trumpets on it."
