Footsteps on the front porch, and the door opens, admitting the Chieftain....

...with flowers adorning her hair in a riot of colors...

...and a very patient expression on her face.

Adam and Piper scoot out of the way?

"Great googly mooglies" Gerd mutters at the adornment

She clears her throat. "Good evening." And with as much dignity as she can muster, she goes to fetch a mug of coffee.

"Ahm... you look.. pretty?" She offers.

Olgar eyes the flowers, then guesses "fall asleep near the dryad tree?"

"Hm." Brekke takes a deep breath. "The nevers are feeling playful."

"Ahhh" Olgar nods

"You have a dryad tree?" Her eyes widen in interest.

"Not so much as a speciffic tree but the Chimera dryad does roam around. She's matured a little " Olgar says

Frank has stood, and is watching the Chieftess. One eyebrow perked.

"She tries to bespell handsome guys... had to be warned about that" Gerd says

Belatedly noticing the other two in the room, having been distracted by the chief's floral frivolities. "Uh, evening, Mr - Sir Franklyn. Mr. Davidson."

A nod. "Piper."

Brekke notices the look Frank is giving her, quirks a brow, but any grin that might happen is hidden in the sip she takes from her mug.

Gerd says "Chief, Adam and Piper wanted to talk to you"

Then she takes her seat by the fire. A nod to Gerd and a curious look to Adam and Piper. "About?"

Frank's beard moves.

And he sits back down to work.

"I'm actually just along for the snacks." She murmurs to Adam, teasing.

She carefully plucks a bloom that is dropping down over her nose.

"Uh, it's about the, uh, quests you talked to be about." A glance, and grin, at Piper.

Seemingly in a much better mood than the last time she visited - but isn't mercurial the way of the satyr?

"Mm." Brekke nods and frowns, setting the errant blossom aside. "I have not yet decided on a goal for you."

"Ok! Well. Ok. Uh, did you have a time frame in mind? Summer's coming...."

She takes a sip, pauses a moment. "You will either have a task that begins next week, or no more than three weeks from now, I believe."

Adam's eyes light up and he looks at Piper.

She squeezes his hand. "Was this his family quest... or the wish quest?"

She notes the interaction.

"I know you wanted me to help on one.. and I will if I can.."

"This is the difficulty...I am not sure whether the two tasks can be combined. Or...employed to another task beyond either."

"Huh. Oh! "What about your sword? Did you show her?"

A grin. "She saw it, yeah. Zane talked to it, Chief. Do idea what it all meant, but at least it's something! He says the sword is -dripping- with Fate."

She frowns. "That..." A pause. "I do not know how I feel about that thought. What did it say?"

"And it has TRUMPETS on it. MUSICAL fate." An impish grin.

Eyebrow.

Adam clears his throat and repeats "The impossible ascent has three Steps, Three Eyes Must open, Ere the Horns sound. And Zane said he heard, like rattling. Like gates opening. Or closing."

A narrow look as she considers the words. "Three steps."

Adam nods. "Maybe whatever the sword's fate is, it's destiny, three eyes have to open first?"

A nod. "Does that sound... bad?" A glance over to Adam. "Do we want to ask Sir Vali what he thinks? Maybe he can see something..."

Frank has been jotting some notes down with a thoughtful expression.

"It does not sound bad, in itself. But words have multiple meanings. Yes, we should ask Vali for more insight...if he can share it. Gerd, could you tell him we wish to see him, please?"

"Mountain Frank's Liam connections are more reliable than Uncle Vali's visions in my opinion but.sure" Gerd says "I must draw on the deepest magics to summon him." Her eyes roll back, growing white, then... she pulls out her cellphone and dials

A brief chuckle from the Chieftain as she shakes her head at Gerd...and a dandelion tumbles from behind one horn.

A suspicious-sounding rumble from Frank, like a cough.

a blink at Gerd. "How would that help?"

And a glance over at Frank, and away. "No offense, uh. honest. Just not seeing the connection?"

Dagmar emerges from the kitchen, after having put the fenix food away.
