"There are 7 Maude babies so a dozen should do it."

"CJ is a lot of baby, and there's just one of him."

"I understand they have help."

"CJ is quality not quantity" Gerd says

"CJ is quality!" She agrees, affably.

"Folks, don't make me pick sides. I'm related to the Maudes" Sally Mae says

"Wouldn't dream of it." Frank takes a seat at his desk.

"I'm sure thy're quality, too."

"But CJ is the one one who is my brother, so... he wins for me."

It looks like Zane has been keeping the ink and paper restocked at the desk

"Yeah, you do Have to take sides" Sally Mae nods approvingly at her

"Connor's still the best brother evaarr" Gerd declares then smiles "Like that?"

"Actually, when they hit a certain age you're also allowed to declare them the WORST brothers ever at the same time" Sally mae says

"Duly noted."

Gerd smirks "Right. I'll threaten to put Connor on the worst list if he gets too cheeky"

"Careful you don't break him, Gerd." Mildly and without looking up.

"yeah.." She sighs "I gotta be careful. Sides, not sure I'd have the heart"

"It's hard, if his ears droop."

"Yup, you're all push overs" Olgar says

As he enters

Frank looks up. He grunts.

Olgar looks at Dagmar "All good?"

"Trod to TJ secured?"

"All good!:

"They sent me home with food."

"Boggans."

"It was pretty funny, they'd lost a kitten so everyone was looking..."

"Kittens huh. Good work, Dagmar " then to Frank "On their end they got guards. On our end, well, so far no one we don't like has used it. If you want it sealed entirely there are ways I think that thing formed partly because you and the Chief wanted it there."

"Going to get more traffic through it."

"Looks like." Olgar doesn't hide it. "I got an idea but you and the chief may not like it"

Eyebrow.

"What is it?"

"The nocker that came through... had a hard time not admiring my lovely mug, but did have a suggestion of charging for passage to those who weren't of the lodge"

"-Charging-?"

Brow-furrow.

"Dross or glamour," he notices the look "Frank, it will help the lodge and help the community of the barony."

"Mmph. I'll talk to Brekke."

Footsteps on the porch, and a knock at the door.

the door opens , Gerd gets it

Adam and Piper stand on the porch. "Hey Gerd. Uh. Chief here?"

"She was on a long patrol last I heard, but she MIGHT come back. Try as we might, she refuses to wear a tracker" Gerd says with a serious face

A frown. "Have you tried nanny-app'ing her phone?"

And a grin to show she's kidding. Probably.

"You try that one, Piper. I wish you luck" Gerd DOES Smile now though and lets them in

"We wanted to ask her about the quest... Quests" She corrects, "That she wants to send Adam on."

"Just, you know, if she has time."

"Maybe we can meet up with whereever she's patrolling? And not take her away from duties?"

Gerd says "Sounds reasonable, but I fear I don't always know when or where she's patrolling so I can't really say"
